Not really looking for a £1500 bike, as I have 2 in my garage atm. One I bought on a whim from @rodbargee earlier this year, a ZZR1100 C2 and a Mille R which I have owned for nearly 20 years and has seen sterling service on many trackdays, with scars to evidence my excess of enthusiasm over ability.
Both should really be moved on but, as both @Tricky and @weeksy will attest, it is more than likely that both will be with me in 12 months time. Tomorrow never comes for me.
The Aprilia has a great attachment, the Kawasaki not. It was just an itch I wanted to scratch .... or thought I did.
So, £1500 bikes?

It was the Tuono key that got nicked, John, and no, I never found the spare but managed to get a new one cut so all is good now. It did take me a couple of years to get my arse into gear though .

I have plenty of keys for the Mille but it has languished at the back of the garage, duly SORNed and insured, and I start it up every once in a while. I'd like to do a foreign trackday in 2022 and it may be that the old girl will be re-commissioned and called into service again...

I'm biased, as I've owned two of these (and still have one), but they are incredible VFM. The engine is pretty much bomb-proof and this example is tidy enough - bit of road rash on the RH side, but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

And it's £400 under budget, leaving spare cash to fix any niggles.

Won't get much for £1500 in Spain, once you factor in the change of ownership fees. Maybe a high mileage, 15 year old scooter or a GS500.

A friend of a friend bagged a Honda Blackbird for just over the 1.5k. 12k miles and a garage queen for most of it's life. Cheap speed and comfort.

If I was nearby I would totally buy that. I had one as a commuter for a couple of years and they are epic bikes. All I did was replace the rotten exhaust and it was like a train. Made the trip to see a mate in Lancaster from Newbury an absolute breeze. Far far better bike (imo) than the blackbird I bought some time later.
