I'd bet everyone in that shot is a Brit.
The Spanish don't celebrate Xmas day.
Why's that then?
They celebrate Xmas eve and the 3 Kings day when the kids get their prezzies

I'll take the presents and time off, but you can keep your roast dinners. I'd rather have Chinese

Uh oh. Element gone? Although when one of them went on our old oven it still struggled up to temp but it wasn't very even.

A couple of years ago we popped the bird in the oven and about 15 minutes the whole power supply to the village went pop...probably as all the ovens were switched on. :(

(So we had our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve this year and are just loafing about on Christmas Day eating what's left  ).

Yip Chinese would work for me but they never seem to list anything as gluten free so never had one in over two years now. Indian also what is quite depressing.

Nah, it's getting there, just not when they'd planned. Apparently you need the oven to show 50deg higher ilon the gauge than you expected, along with only the top half working correctly.

I wouldn't mind but the oven is about the size of 3 of ours at home and cost sooooo much money

I'm just drinking beer and reading here instead.

Not a Beko oven is it? Ours is probably a year old now but since new its always been cooler than what the dial says. Not that we measured it but compared to previous oven

We often used to leg it to places that didn't make a big song and dance about it so I've had satay on the beach in Penang and typical Turkish scran in Istanbul on Christmas Day. The time they did try to feed us Christmas turkey in Turkey (Antalya) we all got food poisoning :wtf:

Sometimes doing the whole celebration thing just seems like 90% hard work and 10% eating and drinking too much.

I'm in England though. Well, actually Wales now, but generally.

If I start going round cheering 3 kings it'll be Sala, Mane and Jota.

How very laid back and Spanish...the 3 kings pitch up on the 5th of Jan, just 11 days late. Too many siestas on the way.
