I love them, haven't owned one yet, but will.

I think it was PB that said something along the lines of "the K1 is so ugly it makes children cry and small furry animals fall from trees dead"

Re: Marmite Bikes
Only ever seen one once and it was that colour. Not sure if it ever got used as it was tuck away in a warehouse in one of Scottish Widows buildings just outside Edinburgh. Even then i thought, Yuk!

Re: Marmite Bikes
In my late teens a bloke in the local bike club had a Blue/Yellow one.
I reckon I could paint the wheels the FD and shaft tunnel yellow on my K-RS as a tribute.

Re: Marmite Bikes
Rockster is an obvious Marmite bike. Those who like them love them and I've never met an ex-owner who didn't want another. Those who don't like them hate them vociferously.

Re: Marmite Bikes
Front brake that only works well if you use it firmly. But if you had the original Pnuemant tyres then you daren't.
But you stuck (well, 30 years ago) M38s on, they were great
Even bland can be a type of character
Re: Marmite Bikes
Honda CB250K front wheel was a popular mod which gave you a TLS front brake. Still not very good but much better than the originalHorse wrote: ↑Sat Dec 25, 2021 2:33 pmFront brake that only works well if you use it firmly. But if you had the original Pnuemant tyres then you daren't.
