But you don't download everything into the same folder, do you? Download Barclays statements into Barclays folder, Santander into Santander folder etc. Blimey, even I'm smart enough to do that.
Well der. Of course, but the sodding browser doesn't have that intelligence so you still have to do it manually, can't just throw everything into "Downloads" like the browser wants to do.

Tell the browser to ask.
in Firefox:
Edit - Settings - Click "Always ask you where to save files"

YMMV

My bank :(

For some reason my (French) bank say I can only spend €1500 a month on my card and withdraw €300 a month from cash machines.
I was heading out shopping today for the chalet so figured I should check. Handily the banks app tells me how much I've spent this month €868. OK cool I've got some room left.
First shop I go to, €35 and my card is refused, tried a second time, refused. Ohh well paid in cash and away I went..... to the bank as they had a branch right next door.
I explained in my poor French that my card didn't work, the girl took the card, pushed a few buttons on her computer and assures me " It will work now". Out the bank and over to the supermarket €441 and the card works no problem :)
As I leave the supermarket I get an email from my bank
"we have Temporarily extended your monthly allowance to €3000 until the end of the month and we've charged you €5 for doing this! "
1 Who the fuck are they to tell me how much I can and can't spent in a month,
2 How can they justify charging me to let me spend my own money,
3 Why the fuck have they only extended it until the end of the month!

Bare in mind that payments into that account this month are in excess of €3000 !

Are there any international banks you can use in France, ones without that stupid limit?

It's a French bank thing, possibly all of them. Noggin has had similar trouble and so has my mate who lives out there.

Perhaps you understand now why Brexit seemed attractive.

Have you read about Noggin's experiences with their health system? It's emphasised by my mate's experiences too.

Download statements? Wtf for? I've got an app that tells me I've got no money, I don't need it written for me too.
App! I've got a wife that tells me! :D

I have resorted to a Wise (transferwise as was) card and, when I have money (!!!!), I make sure I have some in there so that I have back up!!!

You can also ask for a permanent increase, but I expect it costs more in the end. It's the reason I changed banks to one that seems a lot more friendly and helpful!!

Nope. Not until someone explains to me why it seemed attractive (despite the reading I've done, I still haven't had a decent explanation). So far I've not seen any benefits and have seen significant disadvantages for me personally, my industry, most of my seasonnaire friends and all of my ex pat friends.

So, NO!!

Insurance. The coverage for my clinic (fire, theft, damage, etc.) just went from $1785 USD to $3878 pa. I've shopped around and it seems no one else wants to cover it. There is an apartment on the second floor. I didn't want to have it but Planning and Zoning bullshit ended up making it a necessity at the time. The apartment seems to be the problem. That and the location of the nearest fire department. It's 3.7 miles away, 5 minutes by a route that has very little traffic, no traffic lights and two fucking stop signs. fuckstix!

PCR test has come back void. Lateral Flow Tests are negative. I'm triple jabbed as well. Ah poop. Booked to go in first thing tomorrow morning. Son's test was also void. Waiting for daughters test to come through.

They cannot tell if I have the virus or not. In other words, the tests either failed, there was not enough DNA or I am on the cusp of being positive, but the test cannot give that result due to not enough in my system at the moment. The wife had two positive PCR's (and two void ones before that).

The other reality is that I am negative, but it could get that result due to not enough DNA again.... hoping for the latter!!
