This is a fictional account that definitely didn't happen and doesn't concern anyone on this forum!
So said fictional person tested + for le COVID 15 days ago, and by the local law is free to move after 10 days symptom free.
So the thing is, he and SO need to be back in UK ASAP.
After much sorting out of dog tablets, passenger locator forms, a new antigen test for SWMBO and himself. Go to get tested, the pharmacy tell our fictional hero he's good to go as by EU rules he's now c19 resistant for at least 6 months, and he has the app to prove it so doesn't need an antigen test.
So the ferry is rebooked, a very slow 700km drive to the port ensues.
Their turn to show all their docs at the booking office.

-covid test
SWMBO shows hers, show her the + 10day + result........uh oh!
Much discussion between the 2 lasses in the booth, then a gallic shrug and lane 4 Monsieur.
Apparently a -test is reqd regardless of your EU COVID status, but as I was leaving they didn't care!
English side, you going straight home mate?
So an interesting observation about our border 'security'

Pretty much as it should be. Unless you’re saying they should lock you up for 10 days.
You will need to do a PCR test now you’re back and isolate if it’s positive. If there’s any rules being broken it’s you that’s knowingly broken them.
