But they simply don't exist really yet... you can't buy a 10 year old bike that was first build 12 months ago.

So you've got a long time to wait...

Plus.... lets just say they did....

Would you buy a 10 year old Electric bike with 30,000 miles on it... or a brand new NC750.... Because even the 10 year old electric would arguably cost more.

I quite like that cbr. I love the engine and have one in my track cbr1000rr. So looked on ebay and found this and now I'm looking down the back of the sofa and pulling up the car carpets looking for loose change...

They're out there, currently a 1261 mile one at under £16k is on eBay. In a couple eo years' time, they'll deffo be about I reckon.

The FXS looks a hoot but only 50 mile range and a 4.6 hour charge time, but available at under £9k. If I could get charge point at work then it maybe a go'er, but no way would I leave one of them hooked up to a street charging point!

All things considered, I just don't think the timing/pricing is right at present.

I've seen that somewhere before?

Maybe a video of it Vs a Panigale... the electrics on the Panigale allowed it to thrash the CB.

EDIT:

D'oh, that'll learn me to actually read the ebay description.

I think the secondhand e motorbike market will be a scary place. You might need a new battery to start with and how much will they be. Probably no warranty. How long do the motors last. 🤷🏻‍♂️

All these dates are written in pencil, incase we ain't ready. 😉

If their anything like EBikes then the 2nd hand market is only buoyant when they're in short supply.
Ebike batteries seem to have a decent life and the only thing that hurts the motors is water ingress causing corrosion, especially bearings, but I don't think this will be a problem on EMotorbikes as the motor only has one output (for the sprocket) like a conventional motorbike.

It sounds a 'bit too good to be true', one of my work colleagues mentioned it this afternoon. I'm wondering if he's misread something? I'm going to pop in tomorrow, just to check. Be rude not too!!

The offer on the Honda website for the council spec one is...

CB1000R ABS
From £139 a month over 3 years
4.9% APR Representative

£500 Test Ride Contribution**

Complimentary first 3 services

3 years roadside assistance

3 years extended guarantee

1 year datatool tracker subscription

If the dealer has some pre-reg/2020 bikes they may well do them for £99 rather than £139.

EDIT: Oh thats only if you put £1500 down as a deposit.

Good thing is, it's £300 to swap. So not really something to massively influence a decision.

Apart from the silencer it has clean simple lines.

I'm going to offer them double whatever they would get from you to NOT make it.

I don't think there's any danger they're going to make it, if they do it'll be £12K, I think I'd go into a cold sweat at spending that much on a bike.
