Some splined and hex head sockets for my mains powered impact wrench.

Edit: a coil spring compressor and plus gas last week too. I have some rear suspension work to do on the ex's mini countryman.

Makita Cordless Mini Reciprocating Saw. Wanted a battery one for a while now but until today when i rely needed one i kept forgetting to order it so put a knot in my hanky and ordered one tonight. That will be my corded one going into loft storage now.

Bought an Aldi 20V cordless impact driver, because I'm down South, have a sprinkling of other Aldi 20/40V cordless tools and the only other impact gun I've got down here is the little Stanley Fatmax one, which is a bit light duty for what I need currently.
I'm a bit replete with impact guns now as I've got the Fatmax, the Aldi, Ryobi and the big and little(ish) DeWalt ones.
The Aldi one seems fine, about the same as the Ryobi but not as nice to use as the DeWalt.
I've noticed lots of the Aldi 20/40V tools are now getting plenty of 1* reviews as the batteries haven't been available to buy for months on end.
Hope my 2 batts survive until more are available. Also got the 20V mini tyre compressor and air blower kit. Compressor seems pretty good and I have the 20/40V battery in the car for the Aldi cordless chainsaw (very impressed with that btw) this time of year in case the road is blocked by a (relatively small) tree.
My Ryobi batteries are starting to not hold so much charge and a few have failed completely so I've bought an adapter to use the DeWalt batteries in them and so far, so good.

Finally bought a decent MAPP blowtorch as I'm doing some old-fashioned plumbing down here. Should be handy for rusty bolts as well....unless and until I get an induction heater tool.

Also bought a Preciva bootlace ferrule crimping tool kit with a whole lot of ferrules as lots of sockets and switches don't seem to hold onto stranded wire as well as they used to and I also like the way they make terminations look more professional.
Finally, got a Minotaur wire stripper as my old one stopped working properly although haven't been very impressed with it. Can't justify a Knipex so might try out the C.K ones as they seem to get okay reviews.
Feeling very much like jack of all trades at the moment!

If you have not ordered one but going to take note of the head that grabs the blade. The one in the link is the Allan key type rather than the quick release. Disappointed i never noticed that but was using it today and does what it says on the tin.

Got my self a good few sets of the Modular tool sets from the Halfords advanced range. I had a small bonus from work so used it before the wife got her hands on it

A job on the bike I'm contemplating.
If stock exists and I go for it replacing the foot pegs with mini floorboards, but they require a 12 point 5/16" spanner to adjust.

Not convinced it'll happen yet, as it'll also require a new shifter peg, new brake lever, new brake pedal and ideally I'd like to include new grips to keep in theme, and if I'm replacing grips I've got to take off the switch gear, and if the switch gear is coming off I may as well throw cruise control on.

What started as a simple idea / job has dragged me down a rabbit hole.

A Facom 15mm ratchet spanner, cos Facom in their infinite wisdom supplied a 16mm ratchet spanner in the set (which no-one ever uses) instead of a 15mm (which is a commonly used size).

I bought a set of Aldi swivel head ratchet spanners what BTW are a lot stronger than they should be for the money but there is no 12mm in the set what is odd. Since got a full set of Halfords ones as it was a good Black Friday deal and trade card discount on top so hard to refuse

Probably because 12mm isn't an ISO preferred size. 12 and 14mm are only used on Japanese machines I believe.

One of the guys I work with has one of those, its a decent machine.
Don't go crazy expensive with the blades, I manage just fine with the cheapos.

I have had the Aldi Version of that for the past two years and its doing surprisingly well as i have used it a lot.

That was quick. Turned up today and battery charged ready to take it to work tomorrow as i have jobs for it already. Spare wheel hanger bolt is to long and need to sharpen my hedge trimmers. Sounds a lot quieter than my electric one as well what is a bonus.
