Maybe leaning a bit too much to the touring side and 21,000€ here. Oops
I thought it was a magical land, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

One hell of a bike to ride though? I totally forgave it's ugliness (and it's not THAT bad??) when I rode one.

In fact, that may now be top of my list if I can get one for a decent price??

Yorick in getting old shocker!

A sports tourer doesnt need 150hp, that's the thing. Bucket full of low end torque, healthy dose of mid range and a decent amount of top end because you generally dont ride them that hard.
I don't really want a sports tourer. I want a comfy, powerful fun machine

The S1000 is looking OK :)

I’ve ridden one of them and they are very competent. But every big adventure/naked bike I’ve ridden is more exciting especially ones like the ktm super adventure,MT10 and s1000xr. They have more powerful torquey motors and like to wheelie. The Z1000SX is just another al IL4 and isn’t an exciting bike.

Totally agree about the s100zx, on paper it looks great, but I was so bored riding a demo one on a course for a few days!!

Yup, he’s got to be careful as a light 200hp sportsbike is exciting but once you lose 60hp and gain 40kg the excitement goes unless you have a torquey engine and the z1000 isn’t that.

He's got a 200 bhp sports bike. It is 'too focussed.

Edit

Fat fingers, small phone, and old age too.

So he wants something slower, softer, but still looks fast. Yorick is getting old. :D

If the adventure look is out, then it has to be the big MT. 👍

Would you go back a few models to buy a low mileage one that you liked ?

Is this the 4th time you've said that?

A bike without a fairing is like a car with no windscreen.
So?

With all the better kit we're wearing these days, I don't see the need for a fairing on a roady. Just a screen will do nicely.

Did I mention the M... 🙂👍
