60 Second Safety is a series of short Better Biking tips from Survival Skills Rider Training.
The idea is to offer some straightforward practical advice and get viewers thinking about a single topic via a short, easy-to-watch video, rather than try to dot every i and cross every t, or to explain everything in-depth (as I tend to do in my written articles). But that means there may be questions that aren't answered by a particular vid.
Here's the first of a pair - "What you can see, what you CAN'T see"
It's all about the use of road signs to predict what's out of sight but - not surprisingly based on past experience of raising this topic - one of the immediate responses said "there are way too many signs [and that it's] easy to be surprised to find something that wasn’t signed".
So I made a second commentary for the same video explaining how the signs are intended to be used.
Hopefully, that second video should fill in any gaps left by the first!
