Broken down. Bugger. The Husky just conked out. Lucky we were near a road so managed to push it 400 yards. Lucky as we were just about to head out into the wilds.
Just waiting for Pen to come with jump leads and see what happens.
Lucky it's a nice day and right by the sea.

The bike started on jump leads and left it 10 mins still connected to car.Yorick wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 1:49 pm Broken down. Bugger. The Husky just conked out. Lucky we were near a road so managed to push it 400 yards. Lucky as we were just about to head out into the wilds.

It managed about a mile before it stopped again . Bugger.
Then a brainwave. Swap the batteries over.
Then the rain came. Bugger.
The Beta battery was same girth but 5mm taller so had to pull cables tight. And seat wouldn't go down.
Beta started first push and we rode the 5 miles home.
When home the Beta had put in 12.6v. Husky dropped to 11.6.
Hmm.

Have just squeezed the spot on the dogs leg. It was very gungy and he now hates me. I suspect its going to be a vet trip.

Re: A right now thread
Wife just got a call from NHS to say OP is cancelled. Not boil my piss much as i dont need to get her into Edinburgh for 07:30 but at the start of the two days ago she had to be in the other side of Edinburgh for 08:30 for a covid test then self isolate. That is a loss of earning in the morning and four days loss of earning for her. I had a hunch this would happen the night before the covid test. Hey ho, go through it all again at a later date.

What reminds me to check the van. Fag lighter reader was saying 10.6v but radio, fan, Glow plug relay were probably all making that a lot lower and never trust a fag lighter reading.
Meter now sitting next to van keys for morning.

Wishing I’d not eaten that kipper an hour ago as it’s repeating on me…….

Just wandered back from the harbour. Bugger me but there is a sea running. 2-3 metre swells in the harbour, in what is normally a very sheltered bay. Breezy, but no more than that, but some bugger has had a storm.

Re: A right now thread
Just contemplating another nightcap…
Been one of those days, been doing jobs around the house for the ‘royal visit’ when MIL arrives for Christmas, whilst tracking D2’s return from the Alps, and preparing for D1’s birthday celebrations which are already tainted as D2 (they are twins) can’t be there because of needing to self isolate until she gets her PCR test results.
Anyway jobs done, meal out was enjoyable even though the ex-wife was there however D2 was missed.
Post dinner, call from D2 who has done a LFT which is showing positive which makes her feel like shit as Christmas (in her words) is now fucked, and I feel like the worst dad in the world as I haven’t been able to protect my daughter.
On top of that, the dog, whose been out all day having the time of his life, has pissed all over the freshly cleaned carpet because I’m the twat who didn’t hake him out for a walk/piss before we went for dinner rather than let him just go to bed like he wanted.

Waiting for the boy to wake up. If he's not up by 6 I'm going in with full anti terrorists kit and flash bangs.
Race day at 417 flyup.
He'll be hoping for a good result, I'm just hoping to survive and not embarrass myself

Drink most of my beer out of various (mainly Leffe) chalice glasses. Why would you want the body heat in your hand warming the beer?
