They aren't allowed/supposed to lift her from a fall in case something is broke. NHS paramedics refused to come out saying it's not for them to pick up people from a fall if there are no obvious signs of injury! :wtf:
I think my piss might have been boiled by the carers rather than paramedics. Paramedics come out when you have a suspected something wrong, not just in case.
I did enquire as to why they couldn't get her back in the chair as we now have to pay for a double call so they can handle and lift her in a hoist etc, but they simply said they aren't allowed to lift from a fall in case they compound an injury. I take the point.

It was actually her pendant alarm people that came out and got her off the floor and said they shouldn't have done that and the Paramedics should have attended as they are qualified to assess her. Step Mother is 76 and has dementia and doesn't know how she got there or how long she'd been there! So, I think it was a valid call for the Paramedics.

If only. We have a fat bastard on anything between 60 and 80 fags a day. I am a few 100 yards further up the street and can hear the cunt coughing and spitting out the regurgitate shit shit onto the shared path. She had breathing issues and i shit you no. Lockdown 1 she dialled 999 every night for a few month as she could not breathe. You could hear the fat cunt argue with the paramedics that she is not going to hospital so all they an do it give her oxygen. Hour later they leave but they know they may be back that night as phoning them out twice was also done a few times. This went on for months then one day she had a kids bike. It could have been an adults bike but she is that fucking fat you cant tell.
Give her her due she went round the block a few times a day and the ambulance call out went down to every 2nd or even third day then the winter hit so bike was chucked in the canal and it was back to an ambulance every day. In Jockland they cant charge people for persistently calling them out. Neighbours stopped talking to her and a few told her some home truth's what seemed to have helped a bit. The fucker had the cheek to come out and clap for the NHS as well. Anyway between lockdowns her poor husband got diagnosed with cancer and its terminal Lockdown two the ambulance call outs were greatly reduced to every 2nd or third night and when that was over she must have got a shock as they are still called out but lucky if twice a week. Her poor husband is still with us but i seen him last week and TBH he looks lucky to reach Christmas the poor sod.

Saw an offer for 7 ginger beer brew kits (Simply) . I normally pay £15 or so. 7 for £89.95....nearly a years beer!
DPD delivered at 5.25p.m.
He left it in front of the gate and sent a photo. I had already asked for it to be left in the field.
By 5.42p.m. it had gone.
I bet when they open it it will get dumped ......

Well talk about 1st world problems…

the Buzz Rack arrived and leaving the plastic on, i tried the Whyte in it… it fits nicely… less overhang than on the Thule.

However, i then thought “oh, that seems massive, will it actually fit in the car..” the answer to which is !!! NO it won’t.

Now that may seem a bit weird, but my rack lives in the boot when it’s not ON the boot…

But it’s REALLY not going to fit… not by a long stretch.

Sometimes new shit just doesn't work as well as old shit. We canned a perfectly good washing machine and tumble dryer and Mrs.Skub went for a washer/dryer. Man,what a crock. A tumble dryer does it's job on a load in 40mins to one hour. This fucking thing wants 4 and five hour cycles.

Progress.

Get used to it, it's 'green' innit. All the white goods manufacturers are on a race to the top in terms of 'energy efficiency', and that is a race to the bottom in terms of actually working
