Does the flue have to be permanently sealed? Or can it come apart somehow?

Wood Burner Chimney.
The missus wants a wood burner, but it will take up a whole wall, which is a bit silly.
I wondered if it could be taken out after the cooler nights to leave the wall clear for summer and put the chair back.

From the pics you've posted, the island isn't exactly covered with trees. Bit of a waste to burn those you do have.
Even bland can be a type of character

Yeah you can remove them for the summer, they're normally just an interference or gasket fit between stove and flue. If you're set on a wood stove rather than pellet just make sure the flue is tall enough, it needs to draw.
Your main problem wit moving stoves is that theyre effing heavy.
