I'm looking at this Transalp on Ebay & wishing one of the big 4 would make something similar.I mean they're naking retro roadsters, why not a retro styled off road bike? .

Twin headlights & a fairing,I wonder if I could do something similar with a CB500X?

Why do folk want a fairing on dirt bikes, but hate them on road bikes ?

I wouldn't want a fairing on a 'proper' dirt bike,but I'd appreciate one on a 'softroader'.
I'm after something that I can take to places I'd be wary about taking my Street Triple & I don't mean the local MX track!

Another Lotto win bike.

Can't ride it on the rode, not as good on track as recent R1 or Panigale.

I don't know why I want it, I just do.

(and I'm still trying to work out how the shaft drive works with that chunky swingarm).

Seconded! Love these, for some unknown reasons.

WRT the driveshaft, from looking at those photos I think the arm is 'deeper' than it looks on the RHS. You can get quite a skinny drive shaft if use some whazzy materials, Formula 1 wheel shafts are only ~30mm diameter for example.

I think we might have had this one before at the old place.

I remember PB building a 'Superbike' VTR with the plates welded to the frame to support the engine/swingarm (the stock bike the swingarm mounts to the engine, not the frame).

The exhaust looks like it has an urgent appointment somewhere else! Those straight bars and the fairing seem to belong to different bikes too.

Interesting though...wonder what the thinking was in building it and what"s actually been made better ie how it handles???

I remember a Storm being raced by a privateer in the BSB, it may well have been that one.

I just read the full spec...looks quite serious! (Still think the flat bars are a bit odd though).

The Storm was around for three years before the SP1 was launched.

Where?

They're all nearer £9k.

The last one I saw under £6k was a write off.
