I do have a great heater in there but the thought of getting up in the night for a wee seems awful!

Thankfully I have an apartment further up the hill for the winter.

Here's a pic from outside my window.....

1. Didn't say it was tea, it looks like piss, and weak piss at that.
2. That's a monster PIN generator, my banks one is much smaller than that.

1. As my ol' mum would say, 'It'll put hairs on yer chest, sonny'

2. I agree. It has a shit camera on the back to take a photo of a QR code generated from a password, which then gives a PIN, but only if the card is inserted. Overly complicated. Never use it as it's to do with work and their intraday liquidity dashboard is shite.

Mrs GP's Sloe GIn.

She made some about 18 month ago but she didn't mash the Sloes enough for last winter consumption, so left it doing its thing in the back of a cupboard.
In spring this year she sampled it and decided it was not good enough so introduced some Damsons to the mix.

We now have a few litres of a very interesting Gin. Its got enough kick and Flavour to be an alternative to sugar, brandy and Angostura bitters for a champagne cocktail (using Cava, natch). But its also a very entertaining addition to a standard G&T to get the evening started (don't use lemon or lime).

We're moving house soon so will need to find some Sloes near the new place. they seem to be grabbed quicker than blackberries these days :)

Cheers

My top tip for sloe gin is to put it into a milk carton or similar, something with plenty of room for it to slosh around, then pop it in the car boot and drive around as normal. Take it indoors to stand and settle a couple of days before you're ready to bottle it.

Finally after way too long, I got back on my snowboard.

I took my Powder board out first, I bought it in 2019 and only got a couple rides on it before COVID hit.

I only did a couple runs and it was very slow, too slow, so I decided to go home and get a different board. On my way home I ventured ever so slightly off piste and got stuck. There was nothing for it but to unstrap and walk out, when I stepped off my board into the powder I sunk past my waist   . Dropped that board off at the ski hire shop and explained the issue, popped back home and got out my old faithful Burton. Which was better. I managed several laps of the 1650 gondala before heading home.

I will wheelie anything !!!

To give you an idea how much snow has fallen in the last few days, these two pics are of the same place, just 2 or 3 days apart

This is from my window, you can see the snow nearly reaches the window sill

My young man is home! He is so confident and assured. His time at uni has given him a voice of his own and he is finding his feet. So good to see!
