Excellent news. You need to tell the government, they’ll be thrilled.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:39 pm Does it matter when no one gets ill from Omicron, it's a bit of non virus.
I’m assuming you have got the evidence to back it up?

Where's the evidence of people being ill with omicron, WHO have said the symptoms are mild.wheelnut wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 8:40 pmExcellent news. There are some initial indications that the symptoms ‘may’ be milder than with delta. If that is the case and by being more transmissible than delta then that could be a very good thing as delta will be outperformed by a milder strain.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 9:35 pm

Omicron is spreading rapidly and will push up hospital admissions, Sage saysLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 9:35 pmWhere's the evidence of people being ill with omicron, WHO have said the symptoms are mild.wheelnut wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 8:40 pmExcellent news. Thank youLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:01 pm Yep, keep spreading the doom and gloom with no evidence to support it.
You can be an asymptomatic spreader of a disease, just like Ms. Typhoid. She was so good at it that she became the name for an unwitting disease spreader. Well, she wasn't actually that unwitting by the end of it, but still...Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 7:41 pmHow can other people get symptoms if there aren't any, or if they're mild is it worth worrying about?Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 6:52 pmMakes other people get symptoms though...that's the problem. You're still a spreader. Typhoid Mary and all that.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 9:08 pm If no one has any symptoms and it does you no harm, how is it an illness?
I think that's still TDB?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 1:57 pm My point is more that Omicron isn't hurting anyone
The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine modelling suggests, best case with current plan B rules, low vaccine resistance etc, approx 25,000 Omicron related deaths in England by the end of April. It may not be ultra-deadly but it isn't exactly a nice cuddly little virus that you want to invite in and give it a cup of tea and a biscuit.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 1:57 pm My point is more that Omicron isn't hurting anyone, so why worry about it
I used to love English pubs, but they hold little appeal now.Potter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:52 pm I've just come back from a crowded (like shoulder to shoulder) pub with my lad.
We had a couple of pints each, it was a great atmosphere, we swapped some germs around and now I'm back for an early dinner.
Mrs Potter went to Asda to get milk and something for dinner, had to wear a mask
Omicron my arse.
Perhaps you should wear a butt plug?Potter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:52 pm I've just come back from a crowded (like shoulder to shoulder) pub with my lad.

Again? Still? 300 times now you've told us it's all wrong. We get it.Potter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:52 pm I've just come back from a crowded (like shoulder to shoulder) pub with my lad.

So you think it’s unwise to be cautious until the facts are known?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:01 pm Yep, keep spreading the doom and gloom with no evidence to support it.
I think it should be up to the individual what precautions they take rather than a bunch of rules that are not needed, for instance there's no way I'd go anywhere crowded currently, but I don't need or want the government to tell me what to do.wantwheelnut wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 7:43 pmSo you think it’s unwise to be cautious until the facts are known?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:01 pm Yep, keep spreading the doom and gloom with no evidence to support it.

Also I think it would do everyone good to be a bit more positive and a lot less defeatist, with this current widespread attitude to life and death this country wouldn't have lost WW2 because we'd never have fought it because someone might have died.
