You'd have thought that people would have gotten used to that after all this time, you know, being human and erring and things.

And was it a big way, few people who work together having a bit of a shit knees up in the office? Go to any office and I suspect many a get together was had under the guise of 'business meeting'.
Probably - I know people up here that broke the rules. But they didn't make the rules they broke

Surely it is reasonable to expect the people that make the rules to at least try to abide by them? Otherwise, why the hooha about what's his face and the eye test drive?? This is no different and more of the 'one rule for those that make them and another for the rest'.

But then, I rate career politicians in general as the lowest form of life - I'm sure there are some that are decent but so far they don't seem to rise to the top :angry-cussingblack:

I know. Just one of the many reasons I don't 'do' politics. It winds me up to read how bad they all are  But knowing they are doesn't mean I can't be annoyed when they are proven, yet again, to be a shower of shite!!

It seems that the rules are actually just advice, they can't make them stick so they aren't even going to try - it's personal choice
So, the rulemakers can't be caught out - it's not a law, they were acting within guidance, they used their intelligence to read between the lines
And when it all goes to shit it was because the masses didn't follow the rules, it's all our fault

The government are using the pandemic as an excuse for piss-taking policy on the basis that "this is unprecedented" and "he's doing his best".

I'm pretty sure the world has always been like this to some extent, it's just far more brazen right now, and the culprits are absolutely shameless.

I see Boris took full advantage of making this go away by pushing the low-level fall-girl under the bus

Didn't do that with Cummings because he was proper frit!

What a coward!

Not just many politicians, also many non-politicians.

I’m at a loss, I’d call for his resignation but anyone else in any political party would probably be worse. The state of politicians these days is either clowns or actual fraudsters.

The last six months of Conservatives has been like a Monty Python sketch. Please Labour sack your two idiots and put someone decent in that can hold the government to account properly.
If Labour ever get their act together and get rid of the two idiots you can bet that the Conservatives will get rid of Johnson pretty fucking quick.

Looks like some Tories are desperate to get rid of him now unless this is coming from Dominic Cummins archives.

Some weeks ago on here I did point out that every second person you meet in the UK is a knobhead.

The pool to to take decent politicians from is drawn from society and if at least half the population are knobs then you’re on a loser to start with.
Is that 52%? ;)

That's super unusual - normally EVs score highly. The lack of an engine, exhaust etc. means more space for crumple zones and the like and the battery support structure/skateboard architecture is naturally very strong. Tesla have got 'best in class' ratings a few times now, that 'class' inlcuding ICE cars as well.

George Carlin said it better:
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

Your observation applies to all walks of life. The people who rise to the top should be part of the long tail at the high end of the bell curve. The problem is that the long tail on the other end of the bell curve also get to vote.

It seems an odd/tough scoring system if they remove one airbag that protects against a specific impact type and the score drops to 0. (Same thing with Panda and Punto). The manufacturers must have known so why did they do it? Maybe they think buyers don't care - which I suppose some don't. V odd though to actually remove something that was there before and reduce safety. They could have found another cost saving somewhere without dishing the safety score surely?
