Another retro trading in on an old British brand, or maybe something half decent?

https://dotmotorcycles.co.uk/

I like the look of them, they look better in the vid than on the webshite.

They've got Kawasaki engine's.

Well it's an ER6 in a dress,yeah?

I like the 160kgs part, but wonder is that a dry figure. Be nice if it wasn't.

I don't like it much visually, especially hate the swinger. It seems well screwed together,as much as the pics allow.

yeah there better be some serious science in that swing arm because it's definitely low in the aesthetic scoring

You're right they look better in the video than in pics, on the site they look a bit poop.

Not sure what I think. It's a Z650 but it'll cost a chunk of change more to buy. How much are they? I couldn't see. But I suspect for the same money I could buy a better bike so unless the look or the exclusivity appeals then it's a limited market.

I hope them success just because the more people building bikes the better

I wonder why CCM don't use the Kawasaki 650 engine rather than the dubious Chinese copy of a Cagiva Husqvarna engine, it's more powerful and more reliable, and not a lot bigger or heavier.

That names a blast from the past.

My first ever experience of a bike was an old Dot that we used to belt about on one of the local farmers fields.

Run alongside it and hop on. It took ages for me to realise it actually had gears.

Probably like everything else Chinese, its cheaper as its but under the very cheapest labour conditions with cheaper materials

I’m away from home and on my phone, I’ll have a proper look at the weekend. Looks interesting for now though.

Saw the stand at the NEC on Thursday. They looked ok. There were quite a few microbrand manufacturers there. Some better than others and most jumping on the retro bandwagon.
