Decent travel cup that actually keeps drinks properly warm.
I make a cuppa at about six in the morning and drink it at about ten in the morning.
Its still a perfectly acceptable temperature at that time.
They can be taken apart to clean the seals of the lid (just remember which way round they go) so they don't end up manky.
Seems expensive but two have lasted me for at least the last five years, or better put, I'm on the second one now.

Today was buy the Christmas Tree Day! Went to my local Lidl and they had a very nice one for £25, saved me a run to Ikea!! Tree is now up and decorated courtesy of the wife and daughter.

Spent time working on the Triumph, found a quick release fuel connector that is broked.... maybe I did that... but I was going to replace them anyhow as they are fragile. Metal ones on the way soon.

Finished sermon for Baptism Service tomorrow and need to find the liturgy as I want to do a final run through, and realise that I left it at the Church the last time I was there... Ah well!

Need to scrub my hands clean as they are a bit battered and dirty from stripping the bike down.

Currently about to cook some roast potatoes and we have not had them in ages and the daughter loves them. Me too actually!

Will do some fish to go with that and something for the daughter to eat as well.

Contigo get my vote

Bought solely because they have flat lid so you don't get a slurp of cold coffee every time you go to take a drink, but they hold the heat well, if I don't put a 1/4 volume of cold water in it's still too bloody hot to drink by the time I get home 2 hours later.

Edit; scratch that, mine is 7 years old and I swear by it, but judging from Amazon reviews it appears as though their quality has fallen through the floor in the past couple of years, which is a bummer as I was looking for another myself

TBF, I've got a couple that are really decent. Shaped like a coke can and with a little 'spout/straw' so you don't have to tilt it too much - like a sports bottle top

I only used the cheap and less thermal one cos I knew the time she was going to get there. But she was 20 mins late!! LOL

I don't often use them unless I'm early morning touring, and occasionally to fill up at Geneva for coffee on the way home. But that's just because tea doesn't last in a thermos (tastes funny!) and I'm only new to coffee and people told me it is better/best drunk fairly fresh. But I'm sure I'll work it out over the winter. But will save your suggestion in case my can type ones fail on me!! :)

Got home from work, housework (coffee fueled), walked dogs, went to see Outlaws (MiL is doing Munchousen thing again😮‍💨).

Came home, dozed, went to work, cooked curry (beef madras), now waiting to turn electricity off for the railway and hopefully not in hurry but it’s Xmas party pisshead time so who knows……

Yesterday I went to Exeter. I don't recall ever going there before. Did a bit of shopping then went to the Christmas market outside the cathedral. It was packed but excellent.

Managed to have some mulled wine and mulled cider (bars chocker with good natured crowds) picked up some chutney, speciality scotch eggs and other bits and bobs for our early Christmas today as I head back (alone) to Turkey on Tuesday.

We stuck our head in the cathedral which is quite impressive inside and there are some fine old buildings scattered around the city. Despite it all being very busy it was friendly and surprisingly for me, very clean. There was simply no litter, anywhere. Made the northern cities seem 'orrble.

Dismantled the "Thetford Caprice Mk3" cooker in daughter's camper van for the 3rd time, trying to replace the grill thermocouple. Still (for the 3rd time) can't work out how to get to the back of the grill control knob - if I could, it'd be a simple pull old end off, push new end on. So near, so far, so frustrating. Can't find any hepful instructions, tho it must be a common repair. Grrr... 3rd time!!

Might have to get a man in, but they're all busy or don't want to.

Three Baptisms. Two families, one mum and her daughter. She was so excited after being Baptised she danced back down the aisle! What a fabulous celebration! Lovely service and we had the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers there as well. Now off to preach at the Memorial Service.

Took a 40 mile round trip to deliver a drinking beaker to my Step Mother who can no longer hold a cup. Awful existence...

Any good? No mention of removing the knob. Page 17

A mate of mine was diagnosed with cancer of the spine around 6 months ago. Finished up bed bound, in a wheelchair.

Woke up this morning and I see a text from him, sent at 2.15 am. Hey up wscad , just done half a litre of whiskey in the last 10 mins together with 12 tablets. I’ll finish the bottle in the next half together with another 12 tablets. I’ll see you on the other side .

His son calls me around 10am.... wscad......my dad passed away last night..... he died in his sleep.

Today has not been a good day

Condolences on your friend wscad, there are worse ways to go and I have a certain admiration for the balls required. Self determination at the end. Take some comfort from the fact he was in control.

That sucks.
Trying not to be insensitive here, but based on what you've said there it might be worth a quick chat with his lad and have him delete his dads text messages or loose his phone
