Just giving spin & horse a few tips on getting to know their audience, thank me later when I start the "stupidest things you've done on a motorcycle" thread 😅
I'll have a few of those too.

Always makes me laugh when someone says "you don't know how to have fun on a bike". I did, I do but I just try not to mix stupidity with fun these days

Stopped on hill junction on way over to Animals place aged mid 30's and right foot hit some loose gravel and slid out so ZX636 went over while completely stationary. Snapped rear brake lever
Didn't know we were counting 'drops'....

Had a few of them - mostly ended up with me (and anyone ese involved) lying on the floor laughing hysterically. :D

Had several of those. Most embarrassing was getting off the fireblade after riding in to work with a hangover and forgetting to put the sidestand down so it fell on me.

I actually missed the crash as i peeled off just before and had ridden to the local hospital to visit a mate who had a massive off at Croft the week before breaking both wrists where i had been marshalling so made a supply visit to drop him some magazines and illicit booze ;)

I got back to the B and B to find Chris and Vicky wringing out kit and hanging it out while cleaning up the bike and then hearing the whole story from them both and others amid hysterical laughter

Just the one here, came off my first ever scooter, a little Yamaha Aerox 50. Came off in the snow/ice after the bike was stranded in work for 3 days due to the weather. Pulling out of a junction the front went. Broke a wing mirror, scuffed the belly pan and marked my helmet.

Only the 1 so far. Was a lovely morning in March, just above freezing and I had been riding like a bit of a numpty, but had had a few rear slides so had slowed down lots. Then I came up to this nice downhill left in to an uphill right and just as I was changing direction I ended up sliding along the road - luckily no oncoming or following traffic.

Still not sure what actually happened. The road wasn't icy or noticeably slippery, there was no diesel etc. and I didn't brake. I think I was just riding too fast for the conditions and asked too much of the tyres. Took a year or so before I got my confidence back - I still ride inappropriately slowly around that corner!

Bike had some faring damage, and needed a new indicator, and my left hand was pretty sore and ultimately went some funny colours. Got away quite lightly I think - especially as the local traffic plod headquarters is about a half mile up the road!

Is that Norfolk, somewhere Peddars Way area, if it is I've ridden through it with it gently over flowing the banks on a DRZ400, you had to create a bow wave, the ford to the south of Castle Acre is deeper and required a more aggressive approach, or you can be a poof and use the narrow bridge.

Nope, its oop north as we mostly did the Lake District and Southern Scotland basing ourselves in Penrith on the Easter tours. There are a few Fords around Norfolk/Suffolk/Cambs/Essex we used to ride as Adam would route them into rideouts

Remarkably few incidents considering I’ve been riding for nearly 50 years. Although starting at 19 rather than 16 probably helped in that respect as I’d been driving cars for a couple of years by that time.

Only a collar bone broken when an old lady pulled out in front of me and I toppled off at walking speed. If I’d been younger at the time I’d just have bounced.

I’d like to put my lack of injuries down to amazing skill but honestly it’s more pure luck.

Ridden like a hooligan fanny since 86 and never broke a bone. Had a jolly in an ambulance with blue lights but slow speed, not my fault and still nothing broken. Bar that slid down a threw roads and loads of close shaves but on paper im a riding god (Wife Sniggers :wtf: )

Chucked my CBR400RR tri-arm down the road on ice
Chucked the same same CBR400RR tri-arm under a lorry on the A13 - killed it
Hit an uninsured cab driver on my NTV650 on the A406, his fault - not mine. Took whole side out of his Nissan, I broke my little toe.
Clipped an MR2 on the M11 on. Divvy 900, no drama
Clipped a Beetle on A12, on the same Divvy 900, no drama
Chucked a mates GSX-R600 down the track at Rockingham

I thought I'd done pretty well over 30 years riding?
