I still want an RS125 - the bike of my dreams when I was 16, about to turn 17. You know that any you buy now are gonna be shagged by a series of teenage owners though

My mate had one, drove it home pissed from the pub and crashed straight up the curb on the bend 500yds from his house, the front wheel smashed and then it lay up in his mum & dads double garage in their posh house. I think he sold it for peanuts a few years later.
His was proper full power (not home derestricted) and at most road speeds kept up with all of us on our TZR250's and RGVs, I had a go and was really surprised at how quick it was.
The RX125 trail bike was mid 30s bhp, they were nearly as quick as MX125s and had an engine life to match.

I currently fancy loads of stuff, we're going to visit family tomorrow and there is a bike shop nearby with an Africa Twin, I'm going to casually browse and sit on it for something to do. If it wasn't so cold I'd be out bike buying, I'm on holiday in the UK and I feel like going on an adventure, but I've just come in from doing something in the garden and it's perishing, there is not a sniff of me going out on a motorcycle in this weather.
Loads on my want and wish list, then reality kicks in I've ridden a bikes less than a dozen times this year and same as you no chance in this cold even though I happily ride the mtb every week
I had a Honda NS125R (in red with white pinstripes, like a smaller version of that years VFR750), it was slow as fuck.... but a rocketship compared to the GP100 I had before.

I remember a few years ago when I got my N1, me and my mate arrived back here and took delivery, then fired it up on the driveway, we were both excited to ride it, but it was January (or Feb, I forget). I got first go because it was my bike, so I set off and got to the end of the road and couldn't take any more, I went straight back and announced it too cold. He called me a poof and set off, got the same distance as me and then came back.
I didn't ride it again until I came back in the summer
I went out on one of mine yesterday, just for t'craic, like, just for t'craic. And it rained and I got wet.
When I got home I nearly set fire to all my bikes in a fit of pique.

I'm not sure if it would work now though, I'm nearly fifty and instead of being 65kg I'm about 80kg.
Plus I've got no friends that ride 125's and the birds that liked them are all as old as me.
I tried to ride one of them when they came out and i was a yoof. It didnt end well as my knees and elbows got tied up together and almost dropped the bugger on the first tight turn
