Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the £7.75m he's receiving from #MUFC as a payout from his departure as manager will be donated to charity.

I may not be a Man Utd fan but he's always come over as a decent fella and this has cemented that in my head... nice gesture... I wish more people were like him.
He is undoubtedly a nice bloke and I think that is completely admirable if true, but I would expect something like that to be headline news and I haven't seen it- it sounds like could be fake news to me.
Source?

Stems from a fake Facebook post apparently. Nothing on any official outlet to give it any credibility. For me its deffo fake or every news outlet in the western world would be headlining it!

Just found out my car is Euro 6 and therefore ULEZ compliant and confirmed by the ULEZ checker. Not that I'm ever likely to drive it into London, but it widens the audience for sales should I wish to move it on. :)

Found out today that our old neighbour is having a new Shannon class life boat named after him and it’ll be based at Gorleston-on-sea, Great Yarmouth from late 2022 onwards. He’d have loved that, he always did a lot for the RNLI and spent his National service doing air/sea rescue work.

My work van is an old Maxus Euro4. They started to build them again in China and use the same VM engine what is Euro6 and apparently can drop straight in the old vans. Just need to get the ECU and a couple of other parts out the donor van. Not that any LEZ zone will bother me as i am never in the closest City but you never know what will change in the future so handy to know i have a cheap option for change.

Being passed by flashy cars that are worth £££££ more than mine....

Only for them to have to pass me again because I'm happy to pay £6 pa for a tag so I get through the toll booths at 30KMH while they stop and faff around with cards :banana-dance:

I used to love screaming away from the toll booths on the GSXRs knowing El Filth couldn't do me :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Not sure it's that insignificant. But -

Today in my travels around resort I've talked to 4 French people, 2 that I knew already the others I didn't. All of them have complimented me on my French speaking :o :o :bblonde:

One of the guys I know runs a shop and commented that he remembers me trying to speak French very badly a few years ago and is very impressed that I could have a conversation with him today. The other is a guy that runs a small bar/cafe that I use. We have always spoken both languages because he wants to practice English (and I couldn't have a proper conversation in French). Today he was really impressed and said lots that I had improved over the summer :D (He left back in April!)

The two I didn't know were parking garage people and I was asking if I could go into the office to talk to the girl about parking passes for me and a friend - really only talked to one of them. But he was very complimentary and said he understood everything I said - even when I stopped and changed the verb or the order of the words!! He learnt english when he worked in Australia, so he offered to speak English, but I so need practice at speaking French, so we carried on with more than parking conversation!! LOL

So, I'm pretty blooming happy today. The more locals that are complimentary/impressed with my ability, them more I can meet and integrate!!! :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

This winters main challenge is to speak with as many French as possible to put what I've learnt in all the lessons into practice. Then back to school in the interseason to train for the nationality language test!!!!

Happy Noggin tho. The effort of all the lessons has been worthwhile!! :D :D

EDIT - What I have worked REALLY hard on is my accent - so I think that is why I get more compliments. I am trying soooooo hard not to sound like an English (Irish!!) speaking French. The guy I didn't know actually asked me where I was from, so that is always a positive sign that you are getting there with the accent :D :D
