I've only been in Bennetts once, to look at a used R1 about 8 years ago. They were so helpful that I've not been since.

I've seen the Hoyland bikes advertised on ebay, does he have a showroom?
Yeah, he does but I've not visited it yet. I'll be going to RTT Moto in Hoyland Common soon to pick up my VFR tank that's being epoxy lined, so might drop in to TWN and demand tea while I'm in the vicinity.
I used to work in Tankersley, so passed RTT everyday, never been in. I always forget it's there when I need any bits. Same with Bill Thomas in Wombwell... I always end up at Needhams in Doncaster.
Snap - I used to work in Tankersley, but wasn't aware of RTT until after I retired and needed my LC tank lining. A mate of mine put me on to them. It's a brilliant place - like stepping back into the 1980s or something. It's what a proper bike shop should be - all the little bits you need with none of the arsey salesmen. I'm not even sure if they sell complete bikes. They do tend to cater for the older stuff (bikes and clientele) but they do modern stuff as well.
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

It's very rare that i don't want to test/try one of the lads bikes... but i really didn't wanna try it LOL.
I love his bike but ...

As you know he's a fast rider, certainly faster than me. On that ride to the Cotswolds to meet up with you he couldn't stick with me or rather the RR couldn't stick with my 1290GT. Normally I'm chasing him but my bike punched out of the bends whilst he was winding it up all the time. It's easy to say keep it in a low gear and rev it but it's not that simple to work it like that on the road. On fast flowing roads you get it revving and get to the big power numbers but it just doesn't have it down low.

I saw a recent Youtube vid where the 800 jumped the 1000 on roll on. The 1000 is a really lovely bike to look at but to use it properly I think it needs a track .... and it's an expensive naked so I don't see it fitting there either.

Depends what you're after I guess.

Maybe the above was the final straw. He's sold it.
