Does anyone make any in child size? Not literally but I've tried a couple of different makes in a 30" waist and they swamped me....

Found (and ordered some). Dainese do a few models in 28" waist and I've used their leathers for the last 25 years as they fit me better than anything else of the peg, so hopefully the jeans will be a good fit.

We (testing houses) have very strict and limited terms of liability, the damage to their reputation (if proven to be their fault) will be more costly

Bullit covert jeans are ace. AAA but not thick, they are the Tactical AA single layer Jean with small second layer sections in the danger spots. They are much thinner and less bulky than my older Bullit SR6 jeans which had a fairly thick lining in. They are also much better fitting and water resistant. They come up big in the waist so I went down a size and they fitted perfectly. I recommended them to my mate who then crash tested them for me I reckon he hit the deck probably at 25 maybe 30 and they were totally unmarked. Only anecdotal but made me feel reasonably happy they should do their job. Only 99 quid too

I was actually wearing my PMJ Kevlar jeans (as above) when I crashed an E scooter

I broke and dislocated my collar bone and I've still got the big red mark where I abraded my elbow. Broke the outer casing on the (push bike) helmet I was wearing.

I also smashed my knee into the ground quite hard and dragged it over the gravel on the floor.

Jeans were fine Not even scuffed.

These Tactical ones are pretty much single thickness denim with a comfort liner, I hope I never have to test them, but that said I'm usally the type of fella me lad that rides in regular jeans anyway, albeit hard as nails Dickies work jeans.

Based on the pair I got, and the reviews I'd say anyone going for a pair of Bull-it jeans should order 1 size down as they am rather generous, does wonders for the ego mind.

Yup they come up massive. The covert are single layer except in the arse, knees and a little on the sides I think so for much of the jean they feel normal. The old SR6s felt a little like wearing a nappy. I think both the tactical and coverts are blinding value and much nicer to wear than the old riding jeans

I'd agree with that.
These will be used for regular run outs and trips to the coast whilst the bullet proof Hood's will be relegated to M-way duty only.

On the suggestion of here ( and because I find myself not bothering to put on leathers for shorter rides) , I bought one pair of the tactical AA jeans and a pair of Covec AAA , heavier weight ones.
I am in in two minds about the latter - they do seem heavier to wear / warmer.
Does anyone have any real life experience with them - before I send them back?

I have a pair of each and very rarely use the AAA pair. I got them mainly because they're warmer honestly, rather than for extra protection, but if it's too cold for the AA jeans I'd usually put proper bike trousers on. So they hardly get used...!

That is probably about the conclusion I had come to. If I need warmer , I would a) be a southern softies and not go out b) be more likely to put on the dainese leather trews I have.

Might be too late but I have the Bull-it Covert AAA and I'm really happy with them. I've not tried the Tactical AA so can't compare them but in the Summer I was fine with the Covert. Even wore them in 30c heat a few times and whilst a bit warm they weren't terrible and TBH only shorts would have felt nice. Might be different if I wore them in the office all day but 95% of the time I'm wearing them I'm riding and I really like them and would def buy another pair. I use mine as my main riding jeans down to single digits in spring and in summer but I must admit in Summer I avoid mid afternoon rides. I'm a early out summer rider so I can have shorts/flip flops on by 11 to enjoy the weather.

I do also have a pair of Bull-it SR6's which the Coverts replaced and they are much thicker and I was ok with them most of the time but in the office they were pretty warm in summer but I got on with them ok.
