Pulleys, cleats and ropes - climbers / sailors / bdsm-ers
I am looking to hoist my various ladders up against the garage roof joists / ceiling and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Ideally, I’m seeking a self locking/latching solution which can be remotely latched/unlatched/ mounted within reach. Rough arse diagram below:

I’m suspecting the simplest solution of two ceiling mounted pulleys and a simple cleat screwed to the wall will be the way to go but thought I’d check with the intelligentsia here first

Thanks, I think the cycle ones would be too lightweight to handle ladders hanging over the cars unless I could find a means to support the ladders at both ends while in situ.
I have found this
but can seem to find any further information.

Amazon has one for ladders, bikes, canoes good for 30kg. Some moans about delivery though but you could easily make one if you got the bits.

Quite impressed by your 90ft tall garage if I'm honest.
Those amazon links are literally just pulleys and cleats in convenient kit form right?

The angle you have your first pulley will tend to pull the ladders backwards off your pivot point. You need to be pulling straight up rather than backwards. You could just use a long ratchet strap, mounting the ratchet at shoulder height, making your own wide pulleys from broom handle and plastic pipe.

The pin on the diagram, if used between the top and 2nd rung, should stop the ladder slipping forward or backward more than a few inches.GuzziPaul wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 9:35 pm The angle you have your first pulley will tend to pull the ladders backwards off your pivot point. But how do you get the ladder over the pin to install or remove the ladder? I have a length of thick ratchet strap webbing at the far end of the garage. I slide my ladders into it and through by a couple of feet which supports the entire ladder at an angle, I can then stand on my garage stool and slide the other end into a similar arrangement it the foot end by slide the ladders back.

Maybe it's just a hook?
(a hook would also solve the issue of the ladder moving around whilst SillyCar is yo-ho-ho-ing away.)
