Cheers for the advice. I have a tile lifter like that, but it has 3 sides and this thing needs a 4 sider, so I'll pop up and get one tomorrow on way back from Physio.Silly Car wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 8:35 pmGet one of these or similar https://www.toolstation.com/heller-sds- ... ter/p23991
And grease the internals of the chuck / round end of the chisel to ensure the bit doesn’t get jammed. It is worth removing the chisel regularly to let it cool down in you’ve got a large area to do.

Bose 700 noise cancelling cans.
Only pleasing because they were 'free', I'd be more than a little pissed if I paid anywhere near MSRP for them, still 35173 likes them and is happy.

Now you can sell it 'cos you'll probably never need an SDS again.
I bought one (Titan iirc), used it, sold it to the landscape gardener. He broke it.
(Then I bought a BIG Makita mains power drill, with a decent clutch on it ).
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

Lol, my Wife noted that if it takes up floor tiles, it'll take off wall tiles and I've been dodging a new bathroom for some time now. My new bathroom dodging days are over!Count Steer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 7:17 pmNow you can sell it 'cos you'll probably never need an SDS again.

I had one with thechisel thing...gthing...great except that now and again it would reselect rotatey mode on its own.
Then you neededto fetch it from the other side of the room and untangle it and plug it back in.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
A new washing machine, a stacking kit and a bag of new washers.
The dishwasher is now by the crockery cupboards, the washing machine is under the dryer and best of all no more apologising on video calls because I can't hear anyone over the noise of the spin cycle.
My next purchase will the same as Taipan to put up shelves on a lintel and then remove all the tiles in a wet room.
I feel like I should be sad but I still get a kick out of making things better.

???
They're carbide inserts (the bit that does the metal whittling) and tool holders for use on a lathe

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
My Sister bought me this from (I think) Poundland. She said it’s amazing, spray on and buff off with ease and gives a nice shine etc. As I’d just washed my car I tried it on half of the bonnet. As the car was cold and damp it seemed a bit smeary but eventually buffed of to a seeable shine. Just been out to my dew covered car this morning to see that half of the bonnet is almost dry compared to the other side and is beading like it’s been ceramic coated!!
