She has clothes in the first bit, but when they send her to the prison planet to do hard labour, they forget to send her clothes too.

The harder they fall (western). Netflix.

Decent cast of actors

I really wanted to like this but the music makes it almost unwatchable. None of it seems to fit in either context or genre, occasionally it escapes almost into musical or operetta when the cast join in.

The trailer makes this look way cooler than it actually is.

Plot is ok although it follows a generic western plot as old as time. A lot of quite well done violence but the nasty characters aren't nasty enough and the good guys aren't good enough -its hard sometimes to tell who the baddies are. If that was the point i dunno that it worked.

The story was supposed to be "there were an awful lot of black cowboys in the wild west" I think, but it drifted too much into bloods against crips at times.

I'm a no

The Blind Side.
The wife was recommended it, so we watched it. All the way through I was thinking it was watchable, but a bit predictable Hollywood pap. Turns out it was a true story and the film was very close to the real-life event.
I did really fancy Sandra Bullock in it, which is a first for me! :D

All of these are quite old now but are the ones I'd watch again and may be available to stream:

Carnivale
Justified
Boardwalk Empire
Treme

I like the first two more than the second two but thought they were all good enough to see through to the end.

Watched Squid Game with the missus and enjoyed it all. We are currently half way through Money Heist which is also foreign but overdubbed in English. Spanish this time.

I have also started on Fauda which is based on Israeli Intelligence operatives working undercover in Palestinian areas ...... Mixture of Hebrew/Arabic/English and looks promising from first couple of episodes

Fauda is outstanding... Lior Raz is in another Netflix programme, Hit & Run - also worth a watch.

Watched Alita battle angel for the second time.

Not everybody’s cup of tea but it’s the sort of thing I like.

No Time To Die at the flicks.

Far better than I had any hopes of, though my expectations were quite low anyway.

Arcane, League of Legends on Netflix. Cracking animation and a good story.

"Especially the lies."

The Ballad of Lefty Brown. Hadn't seen a western for a while, so I quite enjoyed it, even if it wasn't the most riveting one.

The Wheel of Time on Amazon. Based on the books by Robert Jordan. I read the books around 30 years ago and there were many and they were big.
I started watching yesterday but fell asleep after half hour. Not sure if this was because I am now old or because it was boring. I'll try again.

Departure.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Departure_(TV_series)

2 series, first one dragged me in with the promise of christopher plummer who normally does some good stuff, but both are proper bobbins..

Dan Brown The Lost Symbol
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10478054/

Uphill struggle from the get go having a.n.other in place of Tom Hanks play Langdon, but it's a series so probably didn't have the budget for him.
Eddie Izzard is bloody terrible in it.
Sticking with it as I enjoy the books and it's not completely terrible

Have watched the first 3 so far. It's OK but the comparisons with GoT are way off. The casting isn't great, the cinematography isn't great (the scenery is nice though - lot of it filmed in Czech Republic), some of the cgi is a bit iffy. The baddies are quite cool, particularly the 'eyeless'.
According to comment on iMDB it really kicks off in episode 4...which we'll watch this evening, then its 1 ep per week up to Christmas. Second season already commissioned so maybe they'll improve on the weaknesses.

Started to watch it but hated his whiny voice. Lasted about 15 minutes.

The Marksman. Wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.
