Had my first ever prostate examination - this was the first time I've ever had a man stick his hand up my bottom.
He told me it was all good- I disagreed, I thought it was quite unpleasant!

I wasn't looking so didn't exactly see what went up there but he was a big bloke and whatever went up there felt pretty damn big and long to me and honestly took my breath away - In fairness I was an arse virgin until then though
Is it one of those things that gets nicer the more times you do it?

Re: What have you done today thread?
I am glad I live where I do cos, well, damn it's beautiful!! But oh I do so need something with four wheels!!!! I had to head to the valley this morning for 9am. So a bit nerve-wracking for the first 9 or 10 bends till I'd ridden through the cloud and the roads were dry and cold (rather than very cold, possibly freezing cos of the cloud!)
Coming home wasn't much better! Nice dry roads but no sun till turn 10 - then low flying patchy cloud!! At least by turn 5 it was at least sunny. But fucking hell it was cold!!
I'm aiming to be late for class tomorrow to try and let the road warm up a bit before I head down. It's a bit colder tonight than last night

Re: What have you done today thread?
Yesterday I was going to go for a ride. Forecast was good(ish) and it turned out a beautiful sunny day, BUT Mrs CJ fancied a trip in the car and a walk about, followed by lunch somewhere, so I was persuaded.
Today I went for a ride. Forecast was very much (ish) but I went anyway. A ride of two parts.
Cornwall was largely enveloped in a thick cloud that emitted a heavy drizzle.
Devon however was mainly light cloud with sunny patches.
My problem was 25 miles of getting wet on both the outward and homecoming legs.
Bike is now filthy and needs a wash.

Sadly I think the unpleasantness becomes more frequent as you get older.
I quite like my current doctor - sooner or later his digit is going straight up my poop chute. - poor chap!

My doctor told me it's not unusual to get an erection during the exam.
I said I haven't
He said he has though!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Not as unpleasant as the full anal probing (colonoscopy).
Had to have one on Thursday under general anesthesia, because when I had one a few weeks ago under the memory wipe* drugs it was apparently so painful for me they didn't complete it to their satisfaction. (No happy ending?)
* No idea what the drug is: it's supposed to reduce pain while keeping you compos mentis, but you lose about 2 hours of memory so can't remember anything that's happened to you. I reckon it's an old stasi concoction...
I know that I had a colonoscopy several years ago without the memory wipe drugs and it was really unpleasant. So much so that I had to ask them to stop, I assume that the one a few weeks ago was just as nasty.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I had the film crew up there two years back and never found it painful. I was more fascinated watching it on the big screen and the only annoying part was having to turn as he was trying to get the camera round a bend. The pumping air in was an odd feeling. Few weeks later it was a camera down the other end what i was not looking forward to but they went over the nose rather then down the through so again no stress or pain and sat and watched it all on the big screen.
A mate has to get the film crew up the arse soon. Naturally ill be telling him its hell.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Got to use the car yesterday and found out a few things. By default it is in eco mode. Turn that off and its much more responsive, obvs, and in sport mode its lively enough for what I want. Very pleased to find out there's more power to it than I thought.
When I got it the dealer said there was about 90 miles worth of fuel. Well I came home from Chatham and have been to Romford and back and the gauge doesn't seem to have moved and I was wondering if it was stuck on 1/4 tank, so I filled it up at the BP with their Ultimate diesel. It took £90.01. How much is fuel these days! Apparently, this gives the car a 800+ mile tank range. 'Kin hell, I'll only have to fill it up a few times a year!
After a tin top I knew I'd get some scuttle shake and creaks etc from the rag top and you certainly do! It's slightly annoying but not as annoying as the DAB radio which keeps losing its signal. I was listening to and really enjoying Adrian Chiles show bit I kept losing the signal and ended up the FM music station. I'm a bit pissed off about that as I really want DAB in the car. Might have to look into an additional aerial?
The seats are adjustable on the bolsters but I can't seem to get them right? I was doing this on the fly so will look at it more when I get some time, but for now, they lose against the Wifes seats in her Mini.
I ended up buying the later, facelifted version, as I couldn't find anything with any sort of service history? I was a bit pissed off about that to start with, thinking I should have held on and found one, but I'm not now, as I think the face lift model looks much nicer.
Early days yet, but overall I'm very pleased with the car. I've always liked Mercs and when I had the choice of any car to take home from the showroom, it was invariably a Merc. So this convertible tart is a happy one. Be even happier if it was warm enough for lid down driving, but spring will soon be here...
Oh and it has park assist, which is nothing short of sorcery!

Mine has the auto park thing. Never tried it.
I turned off the road sign assist thingy, it pissed me off flashing up the speed limit all the time.

Can't see me using it much either as it's too slow, but some people swear by it. I am shite at parking though after spending so many years parking away from people! But maybe it'll stop me kerbing my alloys!

Drivers will soon need to do dick all, which is probably ok,since a hefty percentage of them are capable of dick all anyway.
Happy new wagon day TP.
