Of course you'll want to slip off for an hour and get your beard groomed and take in the whiff of the hipsters at the Bike Shed in Shoreditch.

I went back in August.

I mainly just got pissed.

I did to the Natural History Museum, you have to pre-book the tickets, but they're free.

I got shit faced in Trader Vics then went and had a curry on Brick Lane.

I got pissed in Camden.

I got pissed in Soho.

I got pissed in Mayfair and went for some great tapas.

I probably did loads of other stuff too, but was too pissed to remember it.

There's so much to do it's difficult to say, what one person thinks is great another will despise. If you have nothing in mind I'd just go for a wander or take the tourist bus and see what piques your interest.

Def book tickets in advance for any of the 'special exhibitions' at the various museums - because you'll never get in on the day if you just pitch up.

I used to work in Bermondsey - it was an impressively hostile place in the 80's. Full of Oswald Mosely supporters and Skrewdriver fans. You had to be careful about which pub you went into...
And then it got gentrified - I preferred it the way it was!

We're having a short break in a couple of weeks and heading over to the UK for a bit, including a few days in London.
We'll have a shopping day and the family want to do a sight-seeing day, the palace, the bridge, etc.

But other than that I'm not sure what else to do, we're staying in a nice hotel and I can also seeing us just having a hotel day where my missus and girls will do some beauty stuff and I'll sit with a cravat and smoking jacket in the lounge.
I don't think she'll be up for hookers and drugs and I don't fancy going anywhere where we'll be stabbed.

Dunno if The Woman in Black is still running, but that's a fecking awesome show. Shite yer pants scary.

Dependent upon weather, start at the London Eye and head east along the southbank. You get to see the river and buildings up close, including the Globe theatre. Mooching along takes you past some reasonable riverside pubs, so stop for a couple, but keep walking past Tower Bridge and have lunch/dinner at Smiths of Wapping. ( https://smithsrestaurants.com/smiths-wapping/ )Really good fish restaurant, away from the City crowds but stunning views of Tower Bridge to the O2. The Town of Ramsgate pub, ( https://townoframsgate.pub/ )a few yards further along, is a nice old traditional boozer.

I'd recommend the tube back, as you'll be stuffed and a bit pie-eyed by now.

That^^^ If you fancy taking in a show, make it that one. Proper good fun and you can't believe how atmospheric it is. I must have jumped 6ft high several times!

For shopping, if you haven't been, you may like Burlington Arcade. There are a few gaps as in most retail areas at the moment but there's still enough to tempt I think. Got all our Christmas shopping there once but they had rather more 'useful' type clothing places etc then it appears. Then kick back in the café/restaurant at the top of Waterstones in the old Simpsons of Piccadilly building. Views are quite good. Foods reasonable for that sort of thing.

Do you have any idea how long it took me to sew the fucking buttons on that outfit? And that's not including all the hours perfecting my Cock-er-nay bowl, knees out, thumbs in the waistcoat.
