Re: A right now thread
My view this morning

TBF, the forecast is rain here, which is very true!! But up at home it's snowing
And I move home tonight
And a really good mate out here gets back to resort on Wednesday
Things are looking up

Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!

Writing an eulogy for a Royal Marine who served for seven years, being at Suez Canal and other locations. Was in the reserves for a further 5 years.
Spent the afternoon with his wife who is in hospital after breaking her hip. She was bright as a button, mobility now gone, but sharp as anything and happy to have a visitor who would listen to her talk about her handsome man. Anointed her, prayed for her and blessed her. I have the funeral order sorted out now and will do a Church funeral followed by committal at the Crem next Friday. Most of their friends have died, so it will be a small affair.
I am grateful for meeting people who let me share their stories and to hear about their adventures over many years. I'll raise a glass of single malt to George tonight.

Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Booked the van in online for an MOT. Was about to book the wifes car also to be told it needs at least two bloody tyres also. Nothing like leaving it till the last minute. No option to add tyres and MOT together online so will have to go into garage now.

Having a brew before heading for Chichester.
I'll ask everyone I meet if they're Irie.

The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Sat outside watching the rain. Very exciting. First since February.
Can see one of my drainage systems working. Won't see the second one unless it really comes down heavy.

Re: A right now thread
Just reading the local online rag while I try to get into this thing they call work and for which I receive a salary. I came across this - it's not worthy to be put in the "News" thread - Audi driver gets fined and three points for going over 70mph on a duel carriageway. That's it. That is the story
