Streetfighter V4 SP

Post by KungFooBob »

For those who think the normal v4 Streetfighter isn't fast enough or special enough.

I do like the 'Winter Test' paint job tho'

The new carbon rims, 1.4 kg lighter than those of the Streetfighter V4 S, significantly reduce the moment of inertia and contribute to an overall weight saving of 3 kg. The 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine features a counter-rotating crankshaft, “Twin Pulse” firing order, 208 HP of power and 123 Nm of torque at 9500 rpm. The STM-EVO SBK dry clutch ensures a more effective anti-hopping function but also reproduces the characteristic sound that Ducatisti so appreciate. The comprehensive range of equipment is completed with Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension and the Brembo Stylema R® braking system with front callipers.

Only £28,495.

I knew we needed more power .... 208 bhp on a bike with no fairings and flat bars .... excellent

Fantastic piece of kit. But overkill for the road and useless on track.

That's just proving a point. 170 MPH with no fairing is shite.

Pah, when you're as tall as me the fairing makes no difference anyway :)

Two weeks ago I'd have said that it was pointless, now I just think it's expensive.

It looks like a 1990 streetfightered crashed race rep.
They've even done that horrible scorpions tails thing that was popular then where the arse end is higher than the bars even though the bars are on risers.

I think I've just got old, most modern bikes don't look good to me, they look like transformers, or that weird thing that KTM and MTs do where the fairing is a seagulls face/beak.

It probably looks dead wee and nesh.

And isn't 123Nm not that much for over 200bhp? I think it'd be about 90ftlb. Didn't an EXUP make about 80?

Dead wee and nesh and you have to rev the bollocks of it to make it go. :( And it's probably the best part of twenty grand.

It's about 5 more NM than the current GSXR1000.

I'm sure my old 98 Blade only made 55ftlb (71nm) at the rear wheel on the dyno and a healthy 120bhp. Honda quoted 70ftlb and 135bhp.

123nm is a proper top gear bike. It'll pull like a traction engine.

My Suzuki has 117.4. An ample sufficiency ;)
