Rutter's RCv213 & Guy martin's Turbo Busa
I've just been listening to this weeks Chasin the Racin podcast with guest Guy Martin, another excellent listen.
Guy Martin mentions his Turbo Bussa landspeed bike & how him & Michael Rutter were on a runway together & the Turbo Bussa was just so much faster than the RCv.
I looked on YT for some footage.Fookin Ell that thing's quick!!!

If they could get 1500bhp from a 1.5 litre engine in the mid 80s, 500 from a 1.3 with all the advantages of modern tech should be easy.
If it's for something that's either flat out or stopped, you can get away with a turbo the size of a football, damn the lag.

An old boss of mine had a turbo 'busa engine in his Westfield around 15 years ago and that made 450 bhp back then plus he upped it to 550 with a 100 bhp nitrous shot. It wasn't slow.....

There are articles on it occasionally in Practical Sportsbike.
I see he was using it fully faired which is one of the difficulties he’s come across.
It gets the speed but is so sensitive to any kind of wind.
