Judging by the number of concerned PMs received I can confirm I have no side effects beyond a very slightly sore arm.

Fitted a speed sensor to the Tmax. Effin unnerving riding through speed camera ridden London with no speedo!

Also cleared up debris from last night's drinking sesh. My daughter stayed over with her boyfriend and my Son's ex made a surprise appearance! Hope they get back together as she's a lovely girl and a good influence on him! :D

Now we're just waiting for my sister and Step Dad and then we're off out for Sunday dinner!!

I went for a walk! Well, a wander down the road partly to see some friends and partly to see what the roads look like as need to get to the valley a bit this week and next for school, and only have a bike to ride!!! But, the roads seem fine, just turn 5 to worry about! LOL (Didn't walk down that far)

Met up with some friends, got a lift home then made a beef stew in the pressure cooker. It's still sitting in the cooker on 'keep warm' so hopefully it'll be proper lush when I get round to eating some later (after I've cooked it off a bit to thicken it :D )

then it's Dr Who followed by Strictly and an early night - want to get up quite early to see how the roads look at 7.30 ish! Just to check!! LOL

At least the forecast is sunny for the next 10 days or so :D :D

And my eye is looking far less "keep people away from the fireplace"!!!  Think Friday and yesterday morning were the worst - colour is less red now but mostly the swelling means it does just look like bad make-up - well, till you see the stitches above!! LOL

I built a workbench.

I rescued the legs from the skip at work. 8 lengths of 100x38 timber bolted to the legs and covered with a sheet of 18mm ply. I rescued the vice from the same skip a couple of months ago

Years ago, I found a badge which informed me that I would "Be safe with fireworks".

Ever since, I have carried fireworks with and, by and large, it seems to have worked  :flame: :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Ran the Reading Half Marathon - deferred from 2020 due to you know what.
The last Half I did was in 2019 and I haven't really been running much the last year for various reasons, so it was really tough- I was way off my PB, still a decent bit under 2hrs so not a complete disaster, but it has made me realize I'm only getting slower and more achy as I get older , I think my running days are behind me and I'll stick to lower impact stuff to keep the blubber down.

It was a bit of a different race for me this time as for the first time I ran it with my youngest , well the first 3 miles or so I did until he facked off  - I don't really like losing at anything, and this was the first time any of my boys have beat me so it was double tough in that respect, but that also made me very happy in a perverse sort of way.
We followed up with a celebratory few pints in the pub , I had a nice long hot soak when I got home and it's a slap-up curry with more beer tonight, lovely end to a brilliant day :obscene-drinkingcheers:

I did a "casual" ride from Rykas today. That's a ride where I ask them where they want to go - "come with ideas" is in the description. I've done about 5 of these and the total number of suggestions that I've had, across all rides, is 2. The first one, pre-covid, was the Black Rabbit, Arundel which was a good call, today, someone suggested Worthing. I was gutted.

It wasn't until we got to Petworth for comfort break, that I realise, we'd left someone as Rykas. That's never happened before. Luckily, he remembered I'd said Petworth and met us there. Phew!

It was a brilliant day. I took them on to the Six Bells, Chiddingly after Worthing for some proper bikerhood vibe and then we swung back to the A22/M25 :banana-dance:

We had a new guy with us, the first ride with the club. I kept saying, "This is not a typical ride, you understand? This is supposed to emulate a bunch of mates going out and having a good time pissing around on bikes. We usually have a plan - the ride leader normally has a route and we don't normally leave people at Rykas".

Had my third jab yesterday, Pfizer as well, all good, no side effects at all. TV signal is better though.
Mick
I had my Pfizer booster on friday night after work...though they call it something weird now.

However, there is no noticeable improvement in the radio signal, and the interweb has almost stopped....

I'm trying to get my booster. Waited to see the GP up here, but due to lack of interest he's not doing it (I'm the second person that has asked him about vaccines in three weeks and he needs at least 4 to be worth ordering a pack of vaccines :( ). So I tried to book online at one of the centres near me - nope, two had the first RDV at the end of November and the 3rd (my preferred one) needs me to phone to make an appointment. Will do that tomorrow! Got distracted with other stuff this afternoon

Anyway - stitches out, no longer look as if some small spiders are trying to escape my forehead. Got given some sand so I've put some down in front of the garage that I use as I need to use the bike to go to school tomorrow :o :o Will redo the sand in the morning when I head over to the garage!! Here's hoping there isn't a big frost tonight! LOL

I presume that you have locked up the FUF, tranquilised it and stuffed a sock in its mouth as well. Please wrap up in bubblewrap, wear the latest airbag jackets (not doubting the veracity of the natural padding...) and take it quietly. Any hints of frost/ice, take a bus!!!! Take care.

Another one here that got my flu and booster jabs.

To celebrate we went out for breakfast. Although to be honest any excuse is good enough to eat out.

What is the script with the boosters? Kind of expected a call before now as with flue jab.

Up here, the Western Isles off Scotland, there's drop in clinics and you can have both 'flu and the booster if you ask for them. The latter has to be at least 24 weeks after your second jab.

I know nothing about how other parts of the UK are dealing with it.

Do a search for the gov.uk page on it.

You enter your details, system identifies when you can have the booster, shows nearest centres and available bookings.
