They do have a gearbox. It's single speed, but it's there. The electric motors are nudging up against 20,000rpm now (not just in Teslas) whereas the wheels top out at about 3000.

Oil cooled motors and electronics too, as you say. I'm not sure if its the same as the gearbox oil, but it certainly could be.

I watched a YouTube video of him laddering a chimney.....he's up there with his flat cap of invincibility, the film crew are in a cherry picker with full Hi-Vi, harnesses, hard hats and the rest of it :lol:

The battery is cooled by an antifreeze/water mix.

My pals sister had a small rear end shunt so was picked up by the grua (breakdown truck)

They had secured it by the tow bar, but that fell off whole they were letting it off. Oops.
