I can get an X wing fighter in the back garden. I didn't realise Thunderbird 2 was so big!Rockburner wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 2:30 pm Whatever your favourite is - see if you can park it in your backgarden using this site : https://parkmyspaceship.com/

Re: Favourite sci-fi Spaceship ?
Just read a sci-fi book called 'Providence' (quite good, some neat ideas and a bit of a mash-up of Starship Troopers, The Forever War and a few other things). The Providence-class battleship is 3 miles long, 1 million tons, AI controlled - a pretty superfluous crew of 4 - has a mass driver/planet killer and, rather than manouevre, the lasers/pulse cannons whatever, move around on the outer surface. Neat.
It won't fit in my back garden.

I think I will have the original Star Trek Enterrise. As long as Lt Uhura is availabe too. Obviously time-shifted to avoid aging.

I now know I can fit 3 Space Shuttles in my garden. I'm not sure that's going to be of much practical use.
More practically, I know the building surveyor for our mortgage can land his helicopter on the front lawn....he MUST be paid too much!

You can only have TARDIS if you can tell us what the acronym means, without googling

Re: Favourite sci-fi Spaceship ?
I still have one somewhere in the house with the green cockpit
I like the suggestion of the Rocinate but for me it has to be something single seater like the Vipers from Galactica, XWing from Star Wars or as an outside the StarFighter from Buck Rogers, Here are 2 of them in one shot

Re: Favourite sci-fi Spaceship ?
The Buck Rogers Thunderfighter was actually Ralph McQuarrie's original design for the Viper.
It wasn't used in the end for BSG, so got used in Buck Rogers instead.
