Slightly worrying is the outside of my right hand is continuing to swell. It's not painful, just a bit uncomfortable, so weird that it's still swelling :(

Blimey Noggers! You don't do things by halves! GWS and if that hand keeps swelling get it looked at pronto.

Bloomin' dangerous places are homes. The missus was feeling a bit fluey/coldey and was sat at her computer on her drawing office height chair, passed out, nutted the desk edge on the way down to the floor and still has a groove in the forehead where she hit it. :(

Apart from the feeling ill and falling, I think we are all more relaxed and less careful at home because it's a 'safe' space!! LOL I'm surprised no one had come to remove my power tools, but then, when I use those I am concentrating, so don't hurt myself!!

I've been trying to use my hand a fair bit today and it hasn't got any worse this afternoon (just made naan breads cos a mate is cooking curry for a few of us tonight and was miffed that the supermarkets didn't have them!) :bblonde:

I have to laugh at the scars now, I have so many!! LOL Not sure about a groove in the head tho, that's a bit scary!! :o

Otherwise, unusual name ;) Or 'doesn't get out in the sun often'?

The groove is just one of the battle scars. On another thread people were saying be careful with bifocals if it's the first time you've had them. She had some with quite a heavy frame (when that was the fashion). Tripped over a kerb, did a faceplant, the bridge of the glasses broke her nose (which straightened up ok) and gave her two black eyes. We were on a hiking trip in Alsace a couple of days later and one old dear at a place we stayed gave me such a dirty look I had to protest that it wasn't my doing!!

But yep. ROSPA reckon that most accidents happen at home (not too surprising as we spend most time there I suppose). As you say, we're more relaxed and there's sharp stuff, electricity, glazing, obstacles, step ladders, gutters to clear, lawn-mowers, chain saws......

Maybe its the small apartment size, if you had somewhere bigger you might not trip over or smack yourself into the furniture on the way down

TBF, it was my first full day back in my place after cat sitting in a 5 bed chalet where the kitchen was bigger than my whole apartment!! LOL So I do think that the sudden change back to having to use a smaller space might be something to do with it

Mind you, there wasn't any furniture there, I literally tripped over my pj trouser hem and face-planted on the tiles :(

I'd still be happy to go back and cat sit in the big place again tho!! LOL

PJs are lethal and to be avoided at all costs. You won't trip over your own calf muscles. Ouch and GWS, btw. Looking fwd to the shiners pics in a couple of days.....

You could always colour the other eyelid to match.

Or even contrast?

I do happen to have some similar coloured eyeshadow - sadly, not sure I want to try left handed (out of practice) and my right arm isn't working well since Tuesday.

Mind you, if it was before halloween I'd happily let someone do proper make up on me!! I'm half ready as i am!
