I've got an ABBA stand, I don't like it very much, I find it awkward to use.

I nearly always use an Abba stand. This time of the year the bike lives on it.

I find it a lot easier and less risky than a paddock. What's the awkward bit?

I'm with him, i don't like my ABBA stand, it is sometimes useful for doing shocks etc of course, but other than that i never use it.

Getting it on the bike with the bike on the side stand, getting it tight enough, holding the bike upright and lifting it onto the stand, when you take it off the stand making sure the bike falls to the left so it goes on the side stand.

Does that sum it up?

As opposed to, put hooks in bobbins and push down on the paddock stand.

I dunno,maybe it's because I use it all the time,it's a doddle. There's no chance of dropping the bike with the Abba,whereas you need to be more careful with a paddock stand.

I stick the long bit in from the left,reach over the bike from the right and hold the stand where it goes into the swinger,then connect the right hand part and tighten up. The rest is just like using a centre stand.

I do find the front lift a bit of a palaver,it nearly needs two people. One to push down on the rear,while the other does the strap. Perhaps I need to do that bit more often!

I had an NWS Ultipro which was the best I've used. Super stable, secure and easy to use solo. Sadly I sold it a few years back when I thought I'd have enough of motorcycles.

If I found one on eBay I'd buy it. Just for t'craic, like.
