Narrow mirrors
Right, not something I want to do but are there any decent after market/OEM mirrors out there???? I could do with some for my MT07 as i'd like them to be a few centimetres more narrower , this is only to allow me getting the bike down the side of the house slightly easier.
currently they are 88cm wide from tip to tip of the mirrors, the bars are 74cm I think, are bar end mirrors the way to go??
I have had cheap eBay bar end mirrors in the past and they are shite, I had proper triumph ones on the street triple and they were brilliant but I am unsure how I would go about fitting them.
any suggestions (no I don't want to undo them each time )
thanks

Re: Narrow mirrors
Aftermarket adv bike mirrors often have the ability to fold, primarily designed to do it when you crash, but no reason why you couldn't fold them to fit it down the alley.

Re: Narrow mirrors
The problem with bar end mirrors, when people put them below the bars, is it looks like they're sniffing their armpits when they look in them

Have you used these??? Are they quite firm??? I hate cheap mirrors that move whilst riding?

Re: Narrow mirrors
Haven't used them but Touratech stuff is usually a) not cheap and b) does what it's supposed to.
They were always one of the go-to sources for BMW GS add-ons/replacements and that's a reasonably demanding customer base. I'd guess they'll be fine...if they fit.

Rizoma or Barracuda are good quality, but not cheap. I use Barracuda bar ends on mine, they are rock steady and you can move them for parking,if required.

Re: Narrow mirrors
I see there are some CNC mirrors for £50 for the set, but are they the same as the £18 sets on eBay???

Re: Narrow mirrors
There's loads of cheap Chinese knock offs on the bay and some of it may be ok and some not. It's a gamble. I tend to think some gear is cheap for a reason.formula400 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 10:32 pm
