One bike for the rest of your riding life.
What would you choose?
Unrepentantly blagged from https://www.44teeth.com/one-bike-for-th ... OSBn-EtDIA and I'm not sure I disagree with his choice at all.
I think I could be happy the rest of my time with my Z1000,or maybe a ZH2,or maybe a Superduke......there might be a few panic moments before the decision becomes final. So many good bikes out there.
However, for your needs which bike would you choose as your proper keeper?

I would probably have to say the Triumph 1200 XE - does everything I need a bike to do, it's quick enough - and comfortable

But don't the big bike give you the best of both worlds.

No. Because they're physically bigger, heavier, stiffer, and less responsive, they're also a bit more intimidating. Try winding the throttle to the stop on yours on a B road, it's bloody hard because you're doing 100+ in 3rd by then. Sure it's short term fun, but where's the fun in using 50% everywhere.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 4:48 pm But don't the big bike give you the best of both worlds.

You can be a lazy Cunt with a big bike though, all that effort needed to make a smaller capacity bike work whereas just leave the big bike in 6th and go nuts.
