Textile bottoms that aren't like a boil in bag material and warm to wear.
Threw my textiles on for this mornings riding and they're a bit yukky material on the inside. I guess it's potentially like a waterproof type thing as it's quite a plasticky material.
Because of that, it feels quite cold on the legs, even when out riding you can still feel it being cold/breezy.
Not looking to spend tonnes if i'm honest, so more RST budget than Rukka. But would like a nice warmish lining.

Overtrousers (to go over jeans/leathers) or proper trousers with built in armour, comfort lining etc?
I 'would' have recommended Hein Gericke, but no idea what the current equivalent is, I haven't bought any for about 10 years I think (Still using a pair of Hein Geicke Voyager trousers in the depths of winter, IIRC).

I don't imagine you'll be wanting to ride in the rain much,so why not consider armoured jeans?
My needs have changed from all weather gear and these are all I ever use in Summer,or cold, dry Winter days. Super comfortable and not too expensive at £170. They don't look like shit if you have to walk around either.

Pair of ski silk thermals under the textiles. Warm and the textiles will move around smoothly. Wear them under any bike gear on a chilly day really.

Got a couple of pairs of these: https://www.ghostbikes.com/5246-black-b ... jeans.html
Fit isn't hipster slim but isn't baggy, they stretch in all the right places and are plenty warm enough up to legal speeds on a naked bike.
Got a pair of the chinos too for smarter days in the office.
Pockets for d30 in the knees but not hips

How about waterproof leathers? No, not Rukka Coriace's stratospheric pricing. But Halvarssons (not cheap but high value for near-Rukka quality).

Motolegends wrote: The Celtic is not just your average leather suit. It’s about as high-tech and sophisticated as it gets in the world of leather. We would normally suggest that you only wear leather on warm, but not hot, days, definitely not in the winter, and definitely not in the rain. But whilst a leather suit will never be as adaptable to the conditions as a textile one, the Celtic makes a pretty good fist of it.
You can wear it in the cold. You can wear it in the rain, and its venting will make it bearable in the heat. But, of course, and for some this is the most important consideration, the Celtic delivers unbeatable levels of passive protection. If you’ll only ride in leather, but want a suit that you can ride in all year round, we don’t think there’s a better option out there.

Why am I leaving the house if there's a possibility of rain?

Easy. Don't ride when it rains.
I managed just shy of 10k last year and didn't use waterproofs once.

While four hundred quid is a lot of money for many of us, it’s small change to a man of @weeksy’s nobility. I’ve known him to spend more on a bottle of Romanée-Conti.

He could go for BMW Atlantis pants instead. A snip at £660 ( but there are some at a sale price of £390 )Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 7:40 pmhow fucking much ....weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 5:34 pmThey don't need to be waterproof or leatherHot_Air wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 5:33 pm How about waterproof leathers? I just ordered these. They'll zip to my jacket. Apparently fully waterproof with there own goretex type layering tech. Should do the job. Not arrived yet though.

Had a jacket with a discrete zip-in, waterproof liner ie not bonded/layered into the outer fabric. When water gets through the outer, you don't actually get wet..but you feel like you are!Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 8:03 pm I just ordered these. They'll zip to my jacket.
