I wonder what the tank range is, I bet it's not >100 miles
It says 2.4 gallons, so it's going to be either 9 or 11l depending on the type of gallons.

I don't think that seat looks comfortable for 100 miles.
It's not actually meant to be sat on, it's there for you to park your bum on the exit of bends and then you stand up again.

Not at all, put that seat on the right bike and I'll roost you to death as I exit the berm on an MX track, but on a road bike I just don't see the point.
It looks ok, but not ok enough that I want my arsehole to be ruined

The magic of the US speedblock paintjob works again.
I'm not sure so many wold like the bike without it.

I'm not against the bike at all, and yes, your point stands, its just sometimes an observation like that jumps out at you! I'd prefer a "fightered" Superbike than a normal one, so I often favour a "ruined" bike!weeksy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 1:11 pmHow many people do longer days than this can and will realistically do ? I'd say as many riders are happy with 100 mile days as are happy doing 300 mile days. Even on this seat you'd be more than happy as 100 miles.. Especially as they're more than likely be more 'fun' roads rather than dual carriageways.Taipan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 1:05 pmWhen I first looked at it I thought nice, then my practical head chimed in with the same thought of he's just made a great bike less usable. Better aesthetics or better in some way that the owner values is good enough I suppose, it just doesn’t work for me.
IMHO apart from the looks he’s taken all the worst parts from both bikes and combined them. So you’ve got all the weight and dimensions of a non-SM and combined that with all the discomfort and impracticality of an actual SM.
I’d be impressed if he could do it the other way - all the lightness and razor sharpness of a SM but with the comfort of a good road bike so you could ride it all day.
I remember fitting a larger tank to my CCM as it only had a 60 mile range with the original puny one on. My arse didn't thank me for the purchase, as it had to endure longer seat times!

Are they special micro-gallons, even smaller than US gallons?
Looks more like 2.4 litres to me.
