The sprint race and 2nd race are definitely worth a watch, exciting stuff!

For some reason Eurosport didn't show the sprit race live (probs some golf or darts overran) and then gave the results whilst waiting for race 2, the bastards.
Race 2 was deffo more of a race to watch, although I've no idea what was happening behind the first 7 riders.

The Sprint race was same time as BSB race 2 where the champ was crowned.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:20 am For some reason Eurosport didn't show the sprit race live (probs some golf or darts overran) and then gave the results whilst waiting for race 2, the bastards.

The last race was bloody brilliant. Great to see the top men dicing.
The organisers have fairly neutered that Kawasaki by disallowing the extra revs,it can just about stay in the slipstream of the Yamaha.
I hope the circuit in Indonesia is sorted for the big finale.

So Toprak said he wanted to stay in WSB to win a title. Surely if he does it this year, now is the time to get him into GP's, not 2 years time. I know there are deals etc but Yamaha would be better off paying off Dovi and getting Toprak in now.

There was some talk about the clause stipulating that if he did win it there could be the possibility of a move to GPthat but who knows, we will have to wait and see.

There are several stumbling blocks for a Toprak move to Motogp. Aside from the obvious contractual difficulties, there is is Kenan Sofoglu's long and very profitable association with Red Bull, while the GP Yam team espouse Monster Energy as a big sponsor. Money talks.

Of course money talks but Kenan said himself the plan was for Toprak to win the WSBK then see what happens from there, for Toprak himself and Turkey. I don’t see Kenan stopping him and I imagine he would if possible try and get him there sooner rather than later.Skub wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 6:57 pmThere are several stumbling blocks for a Toprak move to Motogp. Also, Paul Denning said he wouldn’t stand in the way so if he was to get an offer that he didn’t want to knock back then he’d not stop him going.
