IMO the Trident looks a lot better IRL than in pics. I really didn't like it till I saw one parked in Hertford and have seen several since. They look fairly decent I think.

765, to me that's pretty much a sportsbike with the faring removed esp in RS form. My mates 2011 675R does 90 in 2nd apparently without even being at the redline. So if you want something slower than the XSR a Street doesn't sound like the right bike. Having said that, and I don't know why, there's something about Triumphs that just doesn't do it for me. I think they look nice, they get great reviews but I've just never wanted one.

With the KTM's in all flavours there are potential niggles (and maybe more) but they are massive fun.

I'd steer clear of the Prilla, just too much potential hassle and a lot of money to take a chance with as well considering you wanted to spend less.

So the MT is probably your best bet, or a Z650. Personally I think the Z looks better and you can get almost new for 6k, the styling is very Kawasaki though.

I was going with mine as I weighed it, full system, few bits taken off etc and not a full tank of fuel

Exhaust seems to be 7.15kg with lighter aftermarket ones being 3. So by the time you do exhaust, pillion stuff, tail tidy I guess you've 5-6 off the bike

I've managed to whittle about 14kgs off mine by losing the cat and other gubbins,so yeah a few mods can make a difference.

Being less popular are they a better price wise than the KTM on the used market?

It's a great shout, but I don't know in honesty how they ride, what issues they have compared to KTM etc. I do know I don't massively love their looks, which is kinda why I never looked into the rest

According to couch the difference between the Vit and Svart isn't the engine size but handlebar configuration/setup.

Yeah it is there are 401 and 701 Svart/Vit but I can't remember which looking one is which. The KTM Centre had all 4 versions.
