If only more people would keep their Sharpe kitchen knives next to unprotected live cables, the world would be a safer place.

I know I know! But the knife that lives closest isn't particularly sharp (breadknife - it's the only one that fits there!) and it would be quite hard for me to get any knife actually onto the cable left handed! (Can't reach the magnet with my right hand!! LOL)

A wee bit of trunking to cover those wires would definitely not go amiss.... please!? It really makes the ex IOSH Rospa H&S Manager in me scream and run around in little circles clucking maniacally... I wasn't going to cover it up until I made the light work!!

There is a lot of 'finishing' off to be done here - you (and others) would probably have heart failure if you could see some of the 'in progress' stuff!!

You haven't...on closer inspection (withoit wine) I can see it is through a board.....and covering it has been covered IYSWIM.

I've been looking on the floor for a random cable! (Only tiles near where I took the photo are on the floor!! )
