We had the kit ignition on ours (16250 limiter).Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 12:27 pmI agree, low 70s is realistic, but I think it was BDK racing claimed they got 90. TBH you have to rev the knackers off it with the standard engine for it to moveDemannu wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 8:40 amThe only way you'll get 90hp out of a fzr4 is go put a 600 engine in there.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 3:57 pm My guess is 55bhp, anything over 60 is good, apparently you can get 90 out of an FZR, but I think 70 is more realistic, and that takes a lot of money.
I worked on a full spec V & M sp motor for a couple of seasons, 73 was the best it gave, and we followed Moodie's bike onto the rollers which had different cams and that gave 74.
First time I rode it (actually I stalled it, everyone does apparently) I honestly thought the clutch was slipping as it hit 12k then bang it was on the limiter, grab a gear bang, again bang!
Wasn't until 4th you realised it just span up sooooo fast and the cr box was just doing it's thing.
Iirc there was a 460 kit which bumped the hp a bit, and it depends where you're measuring the ponies as well, but 90 is quite a claim, unless there was a 400 drag class I can't see how you'd use it!
