Why are there so many different ones?

The missus fell off the other day and bust hers. No problem I thought. Will be easy to replace. After a quick search I realise there are dozens of different designs.

It's hardly rocket science. They only need to pull a cable. They don't need a fancy design or add value to a bike.

When a company designs a new bike they seem to ignore all the readily available designs, opting to design a new one.

I know that hydraulic clutches need one to match the MC but not cable ones.

Has she got barkbusters on her bike? Not managed to break a lever on a bike with them fitted correctly.

The bark buster didn't do its job. Gonna get both sides spare

The local shop had one the same style. But had to grind 2mm off each face where it goes into the pivot thingy.

Missus is happy now so she can go out with her little pal on Friday

Why not? I'd rather trust my wife's bike with standard equipment that works over something that's ground a few mm off and looks like it mostly fits ok. What if it isn't quite ok and doesn't pull the clutch one time as it's not perfect?

This is just a bodge till the right one comes from UK.

It's from a YZ250 and it's a good bit of kit.
