However, just because someone doesn't know... doesn't mean there's not a better suited bike out there.

I'd like to find a track based demo day where she could try different bikes.. For example i think the GSXR750 would be a shed load easier to ride and to go faster on for her as it's more spacious a riding position, less focused, less revvy and more power... but until she tries it, who knows.

(Yes i know we've had one... and despite her having pictures of her riding it on track, she'd have sworn she's never ridden one)

The track based demo day sounds perfect. I think I'd be up for that! Good point about the more power doesn't necessarily mean more of a brute too. The GSXR750 could be just the job. (Just stick 600 labels on and keep schtum ).

Big question can she / you out perform the abilities of the current bike ?

I'll refer you to @millemille from the other day... Since when does being able to outperform a particular bike have any relevance ?

If you had to be able to our perform the bike before buying something better for track days most people would be stuck riding CB500s or 350LCs, both will corner quicker than most people can ride them.

Something less screamy/peaky than the current bike, but not as big as a thou. Think you, or somebody else, answered it earlier, GSXR 750 is the answer? Do they not come with blippers etc?

I am glad you posted that because i thought i was losing the plot as i remember the blue one you had and was also fairly sure Ceri had ridden it

I have a picture somewhere of you underneath it cleaning the belly pan when we were all fed after a BBQ and having a few beers ....despite the fact it wasnt being ridden the following day and just going back in the van

It was the year you turned up with a helmet and said "i am not riding" and ended up wearing 3 different sets of borrowed leathers on a few different bikes and even wore the Croatian bike police leathers Tack sent over for me that i still have .... think these ones were OCD's in a later session on the Gixxer

No plans today due to the horrific weather so was time to catch up on a few things.

First up was the ZX6R. Nothing major at the moment, just an ACF-50 over all the metal parts really to keep them nice as it's laid up over winter.

Still not sure on the longer term plans with @Welsh Muffin and this bike, so i've not bothered whipping the wheel out for powdercoat yet. If it goes to MSG for servicing over winter then he'll get the wheel done at the same time, so easy there... If it's getting sold instead, then i'll pull the wheels and get them into the powder coaters in Newbury for tidying up. I don't get a lot in the way of feedback though so it's tough to say.

I'll have a little think about the fuel in the tank, it's about 3/4 full if not a little more and hasn't been run since Aug... it won't move again now till April i think. So whether i go down the route of draining some out and filling with new stuff, or whether i buy some fuel stabiliser, or whether i just leave it as it is.... Not sure yet.

I'd bang some stabiliser in, I've had mixed results with it but I know for a fact that E10 petrol leaves a really nasty blue/green algae type stuff and it's a bastard to clear out of injectors and carbs. It seems to be where it's evaporated and then left behind a residue that goes manky.

Some stabiliser and a good shake can't hurt and it might prevent having to whip the injectors out.

Any recommendations or just whatever is out on Ebay etc ?
