I reckon at least half of the fuel stations on my commute to work are gone and been replaced by flats. I do wonder if that's part of the issue in the SE, lost of people, not enough fuel stations and once they are out you get a big problem.
Another building problem will be people who filled up less than usual. Because I only put the £40 limit in last week I'm going to need to make a second trip sooner than I would, no extra fuel but an extra car in the queue.

Well there is that, but Facebook has finally gotten to the bottom of it, the problem is down to southerners being wankers

Sainsbury's in Lincoln had petrol and diesel at 131.9/ltr today, no queues. It does seem to be a problem in the south east but ok everywhere else

Well, the garage I went to this morning is now empty again and no sign of any other local garages having any petrol.

Looks like Mrs. Gremlin will carry on getting her steps in this week.

More fuel on the Sarf Coast, managed to ride straight to the pump this morning and filled the ZH2 to the brim, the smug feeling lasted as far as Lewes when I regretted not getting the periscope and snorkel options pack as the heavens opened.

On the way home lots of places had fuel but queues were beginning to form.

I was not filling it from empty. Put about £60 but being BP Ultimate and Motorway prices it was 163p per litre. It does drive nice on that fuel i must admit, well not till Wednesday at least :D

Stupidly offered to make the mother-in-law a lamb casserole last night, without checking I had the ingredients. Hence I had to take a trip to Tesco around 9.30pm. Took a circular route to see what petrol was to be had, as Mrs. Gremlin's car is still empty. Went via ten, yes ten, local garages, and there was not a drop of either unleaded or diesel to be had.

The figure being touted is 1 in 5 is out of stock in the SE. I call BS on this based on my experience. I'm wondering if the lucky break I got in filling the bike yesterday morning is counted as that filling station being 'in stock' for the day. It wasn't as when I took the wife's car yesterday afternoon, it had been totally emptied. Once again nothing there.

But it's all good, coz Boris says it is.

It's only the South/South East that's got a problem.

Why should someone like me in the Northern Wastes be bothered, I can get all the petrol I need?

Actually, there's loads of petrol in the SE. It's just a coordinated disinformation campaign to stop people wanting to move here. :D

Forgive me for pointing out the irony, but a bloke that lacks the organisational capability to make a casserole, complains that the government haven't properly catered to his needs
It was only a couple of minor ingredients*, but I'm a perfectionist.

Including a cable car.

You have no idea how times I've been stood on a rain-soaked platform waiting for a late train thinking, 'If only we had more cable cars, London's transport issues would be solved in one fell swoop'.

I agree. All of the fuel stations I've been near in Hertford this week are still out completely. Based on my experience I reckon it's more like 1 in 10 open.
