I have no idea if I've ever had flu. How would one know?

People have always told me that having flu means you are wiped out, can't move (they do seem to get to the bathroom and kitchen though!), shivery and generally a bit like death warmed up

I've heard it described as seeing a £20 note on the floor but you CBA to pick it up.

It's vague as we know not everyone that dies with covid dies because of covid and that chart doesn't give us the proportion vaccinated.
I think it's safe to say more than 50% of the adult population is vaccinated, I'm ignoring children as they are unlikely to influence that chart much.
If 1% of people who die from something else but by coincidence have covid, then we need to subtract 0.5% of the adult population from the final numbers. This would reduce all the numbers slightly, making little difference to the unvaccinated results but possibly reducing the vaccinated deaths to zero.

So yes the figures may be slightly off but in a way that makes the vaccine look worse. I'm assuming the numbers haven't been adjusted, if they have then the chart is pretty meaningless.

I believe that the ONS definition of a "Covid death" is a death which occurs within 28 days of a positive Covid diagnosis.

We went to a restaurant yesterday lunchtime. "Sanitary pass" asked the matre D, we showed the QR codes on our phones. She looked at them with the naked eye, no scan of any type and said "OK" and gave us a table.

Yes absolutely there's a percentage of restaurants who aren't taking it seriously, despite the levels of fines proposed for repeat offences. I've had similar where I had to ask them to scan my jab certificates. Is anyone policing it? A bit probably but how many effing restaurants are there to get around?

But it's not my restaurant, I've had my jabs and I want to get out and about now.

Wife got a ping today through the nhs track and trace app telling her to isolate for 6 days. I went on gov uk and it's unclear, suprise suprise.
If someone in your household has covid but you have had both jabs you don't need to isolate, but if you get a ping you do. Anyone know what's what.???

Half, working more or less outside with one other bloke. The building has a roof but no walls (like a Dutch barn) so its pretty blowy.
Shopping? Mask on, no worries. I don't want something I do to cause someone with a compromised immune system to die/be seriously ill. I know a lad with "Long covid" and from his description I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
The whole "we're all just going to have to live with it" might be well right but as far as I can see living with it doesn't mean strutting round like an idiot and just washing hands a bit more, wearing a mask and taking a few precations about how many contacts we make might help things a bit.

To be honest, if I could find someone who was prepared to do ALL my shopping visits then I'd rarely have to wear a mask these days - being able to go back into restaurants has been great.
I feel mega sorry for those who do work in these places who are likely to be masked up forever.
