Re: WSBK - Portimao
You’d think he was the championship leader after that, reminds me of 2019 when he’d finally win a race, arsehole! Be gracious in victory and defeat, can’t stand the fucker.
Can’t believe the bad luck, don’t think Toprak has crashed this year of his own accord, either mechanical failure like that or wiped out. Ah well see what happens next time out.

Re: WSBK - Portimao
An impressive ride by Baz to nail 3 podiums as a stand in rider. I daresay he's put himself on some shopping lists this weekend. Bautista rode the wheels off that Honda too, great dice between him and Baz.
Rea showed today why he is 6 times WSBK champion,to still be hungry enough to ride beyond the level of the Kawasaki and beat the faster bikes of Yamaha and Ducati,is quite remarkable.
Redding kept a cool head to maximise his points,so there is still all to play for.
A real rollercoaster of a round and I think Toprak may have done enough to lift the 2021 crown, especially if the last round in Indonesia is cancelled.
One thing is for sure, whoever wins deserves it 100%,it's been a great spectacle this year.

They mentioned that Baz is on big bucks over the pond, so may not fancy a full time switch.

It may at least give him added bargaining power for a pay rise, then.

I think Baz would like to see how well he can get on now that he has a full season under his belt and knows the tracks.

As Paul Denning said the real positives to take from the round is the fact they came to Portimao 20 points ahead and come away 24 points ahead on a track that’s more favourable to JR.

Re: WSBK - Portimao
When you think about it JR has been very lucky this year with regards to Toprak’s misfortune.Toprak’s being wiped out at Assen, his mechanical last week and the front fender falling off and causing his crash yesterday, that’s roughly 52 points with me giving him 2nd, 3rd and 3rd but chances are he’d have finished better.
JR gets wiped out by Garrett but stays on and finishes 2nd, so let’s say he’d have won that he’s only lost out on 5 points due to misfortune. Everything else is his own doing.
Imagine it boils down to the points that were deducted, that would be interesting, social media would explode!

Re: WSBK - Portimao
Is it my imagination, or was there a BSB race at Cadwell where a riders mudguard came off on the Park Straight and took out the brake hoses, he had no brakes at the end of the straight at 180mph?

Can't remember that.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 10:32 am Is it my imagination, or was there a BSB race at Cadwell where a riders mudguard came off on the Park Straight and took out the brake hoses, he had no brakes at the end of the straight at 180mph?
Re: WSBK - Portimao
Don’t know where but I believe that’s why they made twin brake lines joined above part of scrutineering it was a while ago mind as it was before I raced and that was 20 years agoKungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 10:32 am Is it my imagination, or was there a BSB race at Cadwell where a riders mudguard came off on the Park Straight and took out the brake hoses, he had no brakes at the end of the straight at 180mph?

Re: WSBK - Portimao
So Toprak makes a big deal of sweeping the green when he wins which is banter and Jonny does a burnout on it when he wins , but he is a dick. I like them both and enjoy watching them go at it and if i am honest its Topraks "shit or bust" on overtakes that is my only "does he need to be like that so much" which again comes back to the Keenan mentorship as he was well known for barging people
They are both riders at the top of their game and apart from Redding trying to spoil their party its between them for the title. On a lot of footage i see away from the mainstream cameras they all get on and talk amongst each other but on track its business

But he is a dick! Toprak’s was to do with the penalty imposed on him and a joke, a laugh, JR doing that was a direct dig at Toprak, and in JR’s own words when asked about it…….”I make it dirt again”……fuck is that all about? He’s a little wank, nigh is near for him, the reign will soon be over and I can’t wait.

Re: WSBK - Portimao
Can't agree... he's been a dominant force in WSB against a high class or rider for years and years and years, beating all-comers with ease mostly.. Ex-GP riders, ex-WSB and of course all current WSB riders. Somehow though he's berated by people.. well, some people. Not all.Wull wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 5:21 am But he is a dick!
