Nice used African Twin

Post by Asian Boss »

This looks like a good buy.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324805145560

Plus the weather has turned which makes it the right time to buy a bike.

I've got very little space in the garage though. And the g/f wants to have a bicycle here. And I was going to buy a kids motorbike. I should definitely sell one of the XL200s. I should really see what job I end up doing (and when) before buying any more bikes. Other than the kids one.

I really like those, they're very reminiscent of the ones from the 80's that everyone wanted, but I think the seat is too high.

My mate bought one of them new. I've not ridden it, but I did swing a leg over it. His immediate reaction was "you can just get on it without trying!" He's 5 foot 8 so has to balance on tippy toes and think about where it's stood before he gets on.

My only impression of it, having not ridden it, is that its very comfy!

 I had a group of those blast past me when I was cycling out in the sticks. They were having a ball, hugely jealous.

Homda did them on great PCP deals, tiny deposit and £67 a month.

There's was quite a large balloon payment tho', so I expect loads of them get handed back at the end of three years.

Should be quite a few low miles, minters hitting the market anytime soon.

I have a feeling that's the regular version rather than the Adventure Sport. I'm not saying the Adventure Sport is better, but it's the one I fancy.

My local Honda place were doing them were doing the 2019 models when the 2020 models came out at about 3-4 grand off list price and very low finance rates. They are well finished off but didnt suit what i wanted as i preferred what i have already.

Ducati did similar with their Multis so the market gets hit with low mileage bikes that are 3 years old...... My first one was an ex PCP bike with 5K on the clock and 3 years old, The current one was also 3 years old with 4K on the clock. I bought both on PCP and paid them off before the term ended, first one with the insurance after it was written off and the second one a few months after buying it when i retired so didnt pay the large payment at the end or lots of interest
